The only reason they're not superstars is because their coach sucks, imo. Johnson went from being the NBA's #1 3 point marksman to a nearly useless point guard within a year. Most teams right now are drooling at the thought of getting Harrington on their squad. But that's what Atlanta's good at...wasting people's careers until other teams come and snatch away their talent (case in point: Jason Terry).
they have 30 small forwards. joe johnson said he wanted to play PG. once they get some people who play center and powerforward, and PG, they will be ok.
Isiah Thomas and Billy Knight are both pretty bad, but I've got to go with Isiah Thomas because every kid grows up dreaming of playing in Madison Square garden, they're the largest market in the country, they have one of the wealthiest owners in the league who pretty much doesn't care how far over the cap they are, and yet despite all of these advantages, they cannot seem to put together a decent team.
Yeah - Isiah - he is burying the biggest market team deeper and deeper. They will be a long time getting out from under the players they have now. Though Isiah did not sign alan Houston to that max deal a few years ago. Isiah - idiot with an attitude
Believe it or not, the Knicks brass are happy with Zeke. They credit his eye for talent and I don't think he has done a bad job drafting David Lee, Channing Frye and Nate Robinson. I think the Knicks may have a good young team in the making. Billy Knight is another story, his worst move was not drafting Williams instead of Paul but what he gave up to sign Johnson, Diaw plus 2 first round picks. He assured the Suns future success and mortgaged Atlanta's future. I wish the Rox had Colangelo running the show instead of Dawson.
