http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2307240 I suppose it'd be hard for even him to defend himself. Evan
What the hell took them so long? While they are at it they should fire Mitchell as well! Babcock was cooked on the Vince trade and the 1st round pick on Hoffa. Yikes!
I agree that they took way too long to do this...plus, arent the Raptors actually playing a lot better as of late (aside from them allowing a guard to score 81 points on them)? It seems like odd timing...
Villanueva hasn't been lighting the league up much either - as flaky as Drew Gooden (18 points tonight, 4 tomm). They were dumb not to get Granger or Green.
I'm torn between Isiah Thomas and Tim Purpura. Maybe I'll give Purpura the edge since the Astros did manage to make it to the World Series last year.
too bad they couldn't play the rockets 82 times.... in all seriousness, Knight is the worse GM in the league - how he passed on Chris Paul, when they NEEDED a PG, still baffles me !
Elgin Baylor is not a bad GM, the Clippers are always talented, not his fault the owner never keeps a team together long enough to grow and win.
Na, it's almost obvious that it's Isiah, although I voted other, because I think it's Mitch Kupchek, the expert at taking over a 15-1 playoff team and making them a hopeless lottery team in 5 offseasons!
why the hate for the astros dude? jeff bagwell sucks, he should know that he didn't do jack in the world series and that the only reason he got an at bat is because they felt sorry for him.
It has to be Thomas by far. Forget female executives, he should be sued for screwing the team. My guess is the 2 Purpura votes came from Xiki and AcesHigh.
Isiah by far...Larry Brown is starting to make that team look halfway decent though, so Isiah may last a while longer. The Hawks guy isn't far behind after giving Joe Johnson the max...if he doesn't get anything for Al Harrington before he signs a big deal this offseason, he should be gone for sure. I still don't get the Purpura hatred...the opportunities just haven't been there. It's on print that he tried to get Tejada. All of the FA's in our area of need were expensive or never considered us. Did you want him to trade Oswalt for Tejada, and sign Burnitz to a $6 mil per year type deal? Give the guy a chance.
I think Knight definitely should belongs on the list, although the blame for Atlanta's misfortune also rests on the coach. How can you have two bonafide superstars in Harrington and Johnson and still be sucking on the bottom of the NBA ladder?
