Hey there. Raptor fan here--as you know, the Raptors and Rockets main connection is that we both had Hakeem at one time. Except you guys had him when he was still good. And we're still paying his salary.

At any rate, the Rockets have always been a favourite of mine in the Western Conference, and you've got an interesting rookie now, to say the least.

I hope I can contribute something meaningful in these forums as an outsider. :)

What do you think about trading the Dream back to Rockets so the Rox salary cap can have more room?

Depends what we get for him. We don't really need a Moochie or Cuttino ;) --we have too many perimeter players already. We need an inside player in the worst way.

To be honest, I wanted KT, but that chance has already passed.

    Welcome.

I usually cheer for Toronto, but why couldn't ya'll finish the deal against LA? ;)

I know Vince and AD were out, but so close... :(

Ha. Our team is so messed up (and we're all losing patience with Vince's immaturity and softness), I don't know what to say about my team anymore. ;)

Oh yeah, and Lindsey Hunter had the ball in our last possession. That's why we lost. :p

I'm surprised they were even in it with the struggling Lakers, to be honest.

Because of the refs. That last shot from Mo was a three not a two!

Those refs sure do love the Lakers, right?

Of course y'all don't need Cuttino Mobley!
    You all have Vince Carter!!!
    But he's injured a lot...

Lindsey Hunter seems to good whenever I see him play...
    We like AD here.

The best player on the Raptors is my boy A Williams. He should get some All Star consideration!

I agree. A Wil has been the best player on the Raps so far. Doesn't mean much with our record right now, but the kid is the toughest player on the team.

Actually, even without VC, we have Mo, Alvin, Hunter, Voshon, and Lamond Murray when he comes back. Those are still decent perimeter players.

Our best inside player is AD. Our centre is Jelani McCoy, with Greg Foster and Nate Huffman backing him up. As you can see, our inside game is...uh...lacking...

sounds like what our team are lacking last seaon..... inside game... but thanx to the lottery pick, we got MING and our inside game is back.......

isn't it true that having a player who played well in the paint changes the whole team?

Definitely. I'd even take Todd Mac if he were available for a decent price. He's wide and he can pass.

    lol Todd Macaullife...Irish pride.

Heh...Vince Carter is injured and he's still an All Star. VC is the best.

VC is a sad case for T.O. fans. He clearly has (or had?) the talent to be an elite guard, and he has a certain charisma that makes him popular. But he's immature and his injury doesn't help matters much either. He doesn't draw contact like, say, Steve Francis does, at least not anymore. It's sad watching his recent games and comparing it to 2 or 3 years ago when he was clearly a good player, on the edge of becoming pretty great.

But now he's on a downward spiral and it's pretty much taking our team down with him. *sigh* I like the guy, but he doesn't give Raptor fans much reason to like him these days...

At any rate, this thread is starting to go away from the Rocket-related topics. So back to Rox...

Another Rox and Raptors connection is Nacnabar and hopefully he will be good to.
