In that case, my bad. Sorry about that. I waited a year to do what? I asked the people if there was anything I could do and they said not until it's turned in. I've said that more than once in this thread. Do you really thing they were going to take the time to call the officer so that he could turn in 1 ticket? Since when does a government agency take pride in customer service? They couldn't care less what happens to me. I was doing my part in checking to see so I could get it taken care of. I now have to do the officer's job and make sure he turns it in? Hell yes I was hoping it wasn't going to get turned in. Who wouldn't? I'd like to see what you would do in the same situation.
Yes I do think that. How do you know they wouldn't? Have you tried? Do you work for the government? Its not that hard to contact an officer...they can just send a quick email if they don't want to call. I am sure they want their money. You got the ticket...I don't know if you deserved it or not and its really none of my business but once you get it its your responsibility and also the responsibility of the officer/city/court to make sure its processed and taken care of. So just because the officer may have misplaced it doesn't mean that you ignore it and wait until its turned it because then things like this happen.
You sir are the bane of our society. It maybe harder to reach bigger agencies but not local city governments especially when it comes to tickets. Saying that all government employees are idiots is just dumb. Now if you have actually tried contacting the city that the OP is referencing and were not able to get a resolution then my apologies, they must be idiots then.
Just checking without asking them to investigate or look into this further is ignoring..its like calling up and asking...Is my ticket in your system yet? No? Ok, thanks I ll call back next week.... Just imagine if he was calling the Lottery Commission trying to claim a prize and they would tell him the ticket is not in the system. He would probably be all over their asses instead of just calling back each week.

What is up with people calling others morons and idiots just because someone is stating their opinion...on a damn forum. You are just making yourself look like one.
I may not be completely norml, but I'm pretty sure the way I handled it is the way a majority of people would.
OK, thats fine.... I just know that according to everyone I know including the idiot govt. workers there are better ways to handle this but I am not gonna tell people how to run their lives and do their business. Everyone can do things however they want to....and I am not going to call anyone morons or idiots either just because I may disagree with them.
