Ya, but sometimes 30 mph is just too slow lol. I am getting better now. Oh those four tickets were over a 7 year period, not like I am getting one every half a year.
I am sorry but I cant sympathize with the original poster. Its your fault. The ticket has the officers name on it. Instead of calling every week for a year just to check on it you could have given who ever you were talking to the officers name and I am sure they would have been glad to contact him/her and ask about the ticket.
Yes, because as we all know, government employees are always willing to go the extra mile in the interest of customer service....
I got caught speeding around this time last year and the officer wrote the wrong YEAR on the ticket for the court date (dated a year earlier). I didn't make an issue out of it thinking they can still nail you no matter what.
show me a man who has never driven above the speed limit, and i'll show you a man who has never driven. All you fools saying that our boy needs to "obey the rules" and crap like that need to loosen up. Dude got screwed by the cop that gave him a ticket......let him rant in peace.
That sucks, man. I swear, the one time I got pulled over (rolling stop) will be the last time. I hate having to deal with cops/tickets. I rarely go even 5 miles over the limit now, and I come to a COMPLETE stop behind stop signs. But I hate driving at ALL in December. People are driving like lunatics. I was driving south down Mason Rd. today and people were going at least 55 or 60 in the 35, weaving through the dense traffic without putting a signal light on. I was driving like a grandma hoping I wouldn't get in an accident. I really despise holiday shoppers frantically going from store to store.
i don't understand why people are jumping on the thread starter. he got the ticket and was ready and willing to do what it takes to get rid of it, whether it was pay, DD, or fight it. he just couldn't do anything b/c the THE COP never submitted. how is that the TS's fault?
Its because he waited a year. After about a month, if the ticket is still not in the system then personally I would suspect that something must be wrong...I wouldn't assume that its lost and gone forever. Like I mentioned earlier...all you have to do is give who ever you are talking to the name of the officer who stopped you and they would contact him/her and if you think that they would not you can always escalate but not wait a year and see what happens.
I was talking about the people giving you a hard time. Hell I've had a few tickets and would have done the same thing you did.
