No real reason for this, other than to vent...Yeah, its been that kind of week already...

    1) My g/f and I broke up last night...Its probalby for the best as we seemed to always argue about something...Women...

    2) Its Africa Hot...In Dallas, they say its suppose to be be 105, and that it'll feel much worse and I believe it...

    3) Vegas this past weekend was good...Up $5 over the entire weekend, but man, was it unbelievably hot...We would go to the Valet, or self park and the garage area was freakin' unbearable...They said it felt like 115 and I agree, it fkn' sucked...But there was tons of talent this weekend...

    4) Went to renew my license this morning...Got up at 7, got there by 7:45, waited in line till 8:30, then they ask for my SS# and I tell them...They said, "are you sure", I'm like, "uh, yeah"...The lady tells me a number is off and do I have it...I'm like "are you kidding me"...I have to go to my safety deposit box and lunch and then leave early to go try again...Pain in the ass...

    5) Chappelle's Show is not as good as in years past, but still great to watch...

    6) My ex is giving me crap about everything from medical coverage to wanting more money...she can kiss my ass...

    7) Work is work...been busy, but I can't wait for happy hour...

I was thinking about John Glenn, his space journey and all. They said that when you're in space you lose muscle mass and body mass and I wondered if there was any end to it.

Or whether, if you didn't exercise in space, how long it would be before you were just a head, or a mind and have no body or arms. You'd have them but you couldn't use them.

I was wondering if your body mass would drop to a certain level, and then it would stop right there. And keep whatever you needed to use your mind because it would still be working.

My wife locked one of our dogs in the garage yesterday, and my other dog actually pulled a Lassie and told my wife about it by walking between us and the kitchen door.

I had to throw a pair of underwear away last week. I think I have 10 pairs left, so I'm still in good shape.

Brooke Hogan might be the absolute worst musical entertainer ever. You can tell she can't sing, because just about every word she sings has another voice dubbed along with it. Plus, she needs a nose job.

I went to the beach a while back. I saw some seagulls. They are scary mofos. I also saw an owl in the middle of my street.

One of my co-workers from Uganda says that it's not that hot in Africa compared to here. He says that you can stand in the shade over there and you'll be fine. Maybe it's the humidity or something.

Had an Ultimate summer league triple header last night. Hot as hell. We lost 2 out of three, but won the last one and I was satisfied with my play. Caught a couple of scores, threw a couple, got a D. At 38, I'm 10 years older than the next oldest guy on our team. Damn, I'm an oldster. Feel like I've lost more than a couple steps in the last few years. Achilles tendons ache constantly. Still, I love playing and there's guys out there over 50, so hopefully I've got some years left.

Pay up. Because the guy that invented post it notes was just a researcher at 3M and never got a cut of the action.

There was a great article on the history of the post-it and how it came into being. Initially nobody really thought it would be any good. I can't find that article now though.

I wonder if people like Donald Trump are ever unhappy with any part of their lives - you know, the people who "seemingly have it all"?

If the Pilgrims had killed a cat instead of a turkey at Plymouth Rock, we would we be eating p***y every year for Thanksgiving.

Do you know who said money can't buy happiness? I don't know either, but I'd be willing to bet that it wasn't a rich guy!

Last night at 8pm I went and ran the outer loop at Rice. HOT and HUMID at 8pm. I didn't even think I was going to be able to finish the entire three miles, but I did. Just miserable out there.

Been a bit more humid here than usual (I'm about 100 miles south of Vegas). Some monsoonal moisture came in during the first part of July and is getting recycled with T-storms popping up most afternoons. Firefighters are coming back from small lightning strikes just drenched with sweat. We make them mainline water and gatorade and sit in the AC. We've been at 104-106 for the last few days, though we're only going to hit 102 today, though with more lightning.
