hey guys, random question about setting up an Ipod and Itunes. I added my entire music collection to the Itunes library but half of the stuff is turning up twice in the library. I started manually deleting the doubles but after 10 minutes I got fed up. Is there a quicker way to remove those doubled entries?
From the View menu, select Show Duplicates. This will only catch song/artist duplicates, so you'll have a lot of false positives. Now, right-click on the song headers and make sure that "Date Added" is a listed column. Sort by that column. Hopefully, all the truly duplicated songs will have been added all at once. Select all the duplicates and delete them. Hope this works!
ahh, I see you also like the torrents. when you drag the folder into the itunes library, make sure just to drag either all the songs collectively, or use the auto play mp3 for the whole album.
