The fight's tonight -- who's gonna take it?

I'm going Rahman in 8 over Holyfield. Most people will say Rahman was a fluke champion, but I think he may be better than most realize. He has a renewed confidence and sense of urgency with this bout, and IMO it will put him head and shoulders above Evander.

    Good God

I didn't even know there was a fight between them. Have they been trying to keep it a secret or something?

Is it on HBO or Showtime or is it PPV?

I'm not shelling out more dough to see this fight...I got my hands full for next week.

i agree vengeance... i'm going with rahman, probably in 9... what's this nonsense that holyfield is spewing about not retiring until he is undisputed heavyweight champ of the world again? does that mean that if he wins tonight, he wants to battle lewis... err the winner of the lewis v. tyson fight?
    :D

Rahman over Holyfield on a decision, maybe a knockout. Holyfield is old and washed up. He was interviewed on Jim Rome's radio show several months back and man is his speech slurred and broken up. That guy needs to retire, the damage to his brain is getting bad. I heard him say the reason he keeps boxing is because he wants to become a billionaire. Hey Evander, you're worth unbelievably big bucks, just invest it or start a business or enterprise. At least you'll remember your own name by the time you got there. God, you're still in your 30s, you're still young!

    FIGHT TIME: 9PM CST

but that'll probably be the time the undercards start, the main fight probably not till around 10-ish, but tune in at 9 anyway...just in case.

Evander has NO CHANCE to ever regain the heavyweight title. I figured he's just fighting a few more bouts just to do it, but he's serious about wanting to be the champ again? eh, Foreman did it, but Holyfield is NO George Foreman.

I like Rahman, but he really hurt his image with that awful title defense. After Lewis puts Tyson down, I'd like to see another Rahman - Lewis bout. I think Lewis would still likely win, but Rahman isn't as bad as he looked in that second bout with Lewis. I'd see it going to Lewis in a decision. But we'll see.

Unfortunately, I don't have cable, and I don't really want to go watch the fight at a bar, so I'm just gonna catch the ESPN.com info, and join y'all in chat sometime later.

Evander's speech patterns have definitely changed. He used to be articulate.

Rahman looks like a journeyman who got lucky. Holyfield is more than holding his own.

holy crap! that is the nastiest bump i've ever seen! is that filled with blood! dang, i'd be crying like a baby if i saw something like that on my noggin!

about the fight, man it was shaping up to be FANTASTIC! what on earth got into holyfield? his flurry of punches made him look like the holyfield of 15 years ago!

holyfield's headbuts are just ridiculous! remember the nasty gash that tyson had before he went cannabilistic back in 96? it looked like he had a third eye!

    there better be a rematch!

If I saw that developing on someone's head, I don't even know how I would react. That would scare the crap out of me. My first thought when I saw it was "take this guy to a hospital NOW".

HOLY COW!!! Sounds like it was Holyfield in the first two rounds, then it evened out, and when Rahman's head started to sprout, he pretty much lost control.

BOOOO!!! I hope there is a rematch also drapg.
