I feel we've been betting on their long-rang shot percentage too much. If these two play well with some threes and open shots made, we win it. Otherwise, we lose. But unlike Tmac, Shane and Yao, both of them are not countable offensive forces. It's highly unlikely they will shoot well in the playoffs with JVG's way of teaching. My point is we can't win a champion with JVG. He can build a team into playoff contenders, but not a World Champion. Neither will Johnson. Mavs doesn't have any teamwork in offense. Their peoblems are same as ours - their success depends on the performance by Stacks and Terry who are more stable than Rafer and Luther. Defense is so easy to teach so long you study system and apply it to your team. A great coach always knows how to teach offense coz it's hard and should be tailored to different roasters. So please fire JVG even we win the Western Conference Champion.

OK dude don't you think there's already enough bash threads going around? Luther made a mistake but he's been key for us, he happens to play bad a against a great team. Well he'll have to find away around that. Mavs don't have teamwork on Offense? Yeah wow that's why the Lakers have the same record as them. STACK and TERRY aren't even their 2 leading scorers! They aren't even their go-to guys. And if their problem is the same as ours...yet they have two more consistent guys... That's why Avery Johnson sucks. Suns would've won the series 4-0. He doesn't deserve to be the Coach of the Year. Phil should be the Coach of the Year every year.
We did not play our best game and we lost to the best team now, by 3 points, and had a pretty good change if Head was his normal self. They are simply a better team right now but when Yao gets back, we have the best post player in the world. Yao should at least help us to get 4 more points.

Haha, sorry I mean guys like Dirk and Tmac will deliver great stats every nights. So the game actrually depends on role players like Luther and Stacks. I don't know how many assists Mavs have a game. But I believe it should rank in the 20th. Luther just can't be a point guard. He should play like Hamilton and Reggie Miller.

The Mavs had plenty of beautiful offensive execution and teamwork when Nash and Nellie were around. Those years resulted in 0 Finals appearances, and yearly playoff disappointments. In his first full year as coach, Avery coached the Mavs to the finals, and now this year they look on track to do so again. Right now Avery is definitely one of the best coaches in the game.
Speaking of Yao, anyone watched Dwight Howard recent games? He is sensational. If he made 20 shots a night, he would be the leading scorer of NBA.

Huh? First, what does that have to do with Yao, and second I think ANYONE would lead the NBA in scoring if they made 20 shots a night. That is a minimum of 40 points a game if you only shoot 2's and have no FT's
You read it wrong. They're 23rd. And if you look at their assists per field goals made, I believe their ranking is even lower.
