hey guys, i was reading one of the things on how someone got their car keyed and why it could have happened and racism was a possiblity. i used to think nothing like that would ever happen to me... boy was i wrong! alright this is what went down... i was at this dude's house that i knew with a group of friends (all 100% white except me) and we got onto the subject of the holocaust and hitler. the subject didnt offend me nor did the views of this one dude that i didnt really agree with. what really bothered me was when he told me that i was ganna have to die! it was so blunt and un believable! i was being attacked simply because i wasnt 100% white and MAN did it suck. after it happened i just decided he wasnt really worth my time so i just went home. now i really feel for people who have to put up with ignorance everyday, lucky for me i know when to stop hanging out with people...AND later on i found out that dude that said i was ganna have to die was gay, so looks like he would be goin down with me. more recently i was confronted about something also...this time it wasnt race, it was my sexual preferance. by all means im over the whole lesbian experiments, but i was writing a paper for a class i had and i needed to go out and do a little field work. to make a long story short... some mean latinas wanted to kick my ass for holding hands with a girl in the food court at the mall. luckily i didnt die=) but now i respect people for who they are not what society wants them to be. yous guys got any super stories?
Sorry to hear about your "racist" and "homophobic" encounters. This (these) topics have been discussed at great lengths. I'm sure there's more than one BBS member who would rather I not reply to this thread, for various and differing reasons.
