I've spoken out against militant atheism against religion. I don't think all religion is all that bad, even with the facts laid out about religious corruptness and hypocrisy. You start the world over again the same way, how were our early ancestors NOT going to cling to something divine and religious? I also thought where religious people and creationists had their heads in the clouds, atheists are just plain ground level bitter people. Inflated by their atheist right of passage into enlightenment and shooting down all perceived BS in their sight.

After looking at things again, I'd have to say hypocritically that I can see why atheists snipe so much at religion. ALL religions will get bashed, but especially the religions linked to the people that are QUANTIFIABLY doing most of the terrorizing, being the biggest threats to everyone's peace. Muslims arent a race and Islam isnt inherently evil the extremists are. But man have the extremists made it tough.

When the laws that govern Muslim countries are founded UPON Islamic principles, it makes it even tougher for the simple minded to distinguish what from what. You can make a direct beeline connection to the leaders that practice Muslim laws so devoutly. And then assume everything done under that is attributed to the religion its based on. You possibly can attribute Christianity just as directly to US leaders, though there are divisions explicitly indicating that there is a SEPARATION between church and state in the US. "Influenced by" and "Devout" is similar but 2 different things.

Thats not to say all Muslims DESERVE criticism, certainly not. Direct all the criticism to the actual 2-3% giving it a bad name. Its still mostly about all religion itself and its adverse affects on people's judgment.
