It depends, I always thought they generally judge people's race by their last name. For Asians, it's easy because our last names are quite different compared to other ethnicities. However, Black-White mix would be more difficult to judge because of their similar last names. I suppose they would use their looks to determine which race fits better if they can't judge by the last name.
They might even be legally considered White, I have no idea if there is such a law. However, in the eyes of most people in the US, they are not considred White.
you dont know what MOST white people think you know what YOU want them to think to validate your opinion that all us damn white devils are deep down a buncha racist crackas. contrary to what I cracked earlier, I get along with everyone I meet do a poll, ask every CF member I have met if I did or said anything to any of them to make them think I thoguht less of them because of their race. Ive met people from all races...white, black, asian, latino, and even kam I cant sit here and say I disliked any of them...not even TJ My big problem here is not to argue there are no racists...that would be stupid is when you AUTOMATICALLY ASSUME everyone out there is racist, it is you who becomes what you are preaching against. Do you care one iota that by automatically assuming that all white people are racist, that you are not helping race relations? How can we ever look at each other as humans first when in the back of our minds we think they are racists without getting to know them? It certinaly gets in my way when I meet someone of a different race, and all I can think is "Gee, I wonder if they think I hate them cause of their skin?" does any of this make sense to you? Just because you do not think biracial kids are White or Black or Asian doesn't make you racist in my opion. I do not think most Whites are racists. I think we all have our own prejudices, does Asian owned companies hire more Asian Americans? Yes. Same goes African American owned companies or companies owned by White. However, since there is so few minority owned companies in the US compared to the number of companies owned by the Whites, the promotional opportunities and other benefits are significantly tilted towards the Whites. This doesn't make them all to be racists in my mind though.
I am naturalized American, have been here since elementary school. I talk with Whites as in my neighbors and collegues and friends not to mention i have tons of White relatives by marriages (my sister is married to a white man).

If you have any ancestry from multiple ethnic/racial groups you are deemed to be a part of the group lowest in the ranking system [social System] IN THIS COUNTRY unfortunately the Ranking seems to put black at the lowest scale White + any race = any Race since IN THIS COUNTRY white is seen as being the highest scale Asian + Hispanic = hispanic Asian + Black = black hispanic + Black = Black etc we may not like it .. we may want to change it. . . but we cannot ignore it. If you want to remove Race from these arguments remove all mentions of race from all government and employment forms of couse name discrimination would still happen . . but baby steps Rocket River I am pretty simple . . .. Tiger is half Asian (mostly Thai) but less than half Back since from his father's side he also has some Native American.
i think it just comes down to what color the kids skin have, tiger is considered black simply because his skin color is very dark. barrack obama and hally barrie as well. however, some biracial kids of black and white parents come out looking very white, such as that picture of somebody someone posted, as well as certain people i have met, they consider themselves white because its what they look like.

No becuase he looks black, just like Tiger and Bob Marley (who had a white father too). If they looked white they would be considered white. Of course looks are going to play a part. If i looked like Kravitz people would call me black too. But again, it's not some sinister plot. Only because you want to deny it. Race consideration has nothing to do with lineage and ancestry? Please. If Tiger looked completely Asian people would consider him Asian no matter what. If Tiger looked completely white and had a black mother most would call him white. The Supreme Court made the one drop of blood rule illegal 40 years ago. I have never heard of it. It doesn't shape public opinion at all. Get over it. Society now goes by patrilineal lineage plus external body features. From what I understand the most biological way to determine race is matrilineal lineage. Mitochondrial DNA (mt-DNA) is normally inherited exclusively from one's mother - both daughters and sons inherit it all the same. As mt-DNA are sort of "cellular power plants," one's metabolism and energy conversion are much influenced by the matrilineal descent. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matrilineal. So that's what I would go by if I had to. So in my book Tiger is Asian, and Kravitz and Marley are African. And everyone should have the last name of their mother, not father.

If anything is wrong it's the idea of a patrlienal lineage. It makes things more confusing. It seems to me that more children of biracial couples physically look like the mother. If Tiger had an Asian last name more would consider him as so.
