"We're going to feed him Butterfingers on the flight home just so he can feel the effects of it."

Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson , on Kwame Brown after their triple overtime loss Friday to the Bobcats

Thought I'd share this for a little Sunday humor. Anyone else noticed how bad Kwame Brown's hands are?

Oh yeah, which is the main reason Kwame's upside is very limited. I said this after the Lakers signed him. I guess he is PJ's personal (at least public) whipping boy this season.

That's not a surprise. Its more funny when Phil called Radmanovic a "space cade" b4 the Bobcats game:

That Radmanovic quote is great, but I couldn't help but think that if it was Van Gundy saying that people would say he just didn't know how to let his players play. Something to think about...

Lord Phil makes JVG look like a proud papa to his players in comparision.

I will never complain about JVG's pessimism again.

Hmmm... so you're saying that it's better that a coach single players out for public criticism, rather than putting the onus on the team for poor play?

Remind me to recommend you for a grade-school coaching job.

    Per Clutchcity returns:

"That Radmanovic quote is great, but I couldn't help but think that if it was Van Gundy saying that people would say he just didn't know how to let his players play. Something to think about..."

I do not like it when any coach- not singling out Van Gundy-- or Lord Phil Jackson publicly criticizes players. This undermines the coaches credibility to players.

Jackson should be a man- not be afraid of confrontation and carry Radmo to the woodshed and scold him as much as he wants in private.

Jackson is a p*ssy for behaving this way.

How stupid / petty does Phillip Jackson look mouthing off about Shaq being lazy-when Shaq is in Miami now- long gone-a parting shot? Ohh lord know it all Phil has 3 rings from LA that he can thank Shaq for. Those 3 added rings enhance his legacy IMHO.

Sadly, at 20-11, the Lakers are still half a game better then the Rockets and have beaten us twice this year, in heartbreaking fashion both times....and they'll probably beat Sacramento tonight.

Just checked out the Rockets schedule...man it's brutal this month. End of month looks okay, but until the 26th the only sub-.500 team on teh schdule is Sacramento.

Meanwhile, the Lakers play Miami, New Orleans, Charlotte, Knicks, Celtics - seems like they've had an awfully favorable schedule thus far.
