    6. m_cable is right...they grow the pears in the bottles. I've seen peaches done that way too...pretty cool.

    Baby food bananas.

Lettuce is the correct answer I believe which was already posted. I don't ever remember going to the store to get frozen or canned lettuce.

    2. How are Niagra Falls or the Grand Canyon considered to be "moving backward"?

    4. In baseball, the ball is not always in the possession of the defense. It's either a poorly worded question, or we're barking up the wrong tree.

    Oh yeah. Stupid kids.

    I'm down with lettuce.

As to growing things in bottles, you place the bottle over the bud of the fruit when it's small. I've seen the bottles tied to other branches and also seen some weird metal stand-type contraptions to hold the bottles in place.

OK, I was wrong on the balk deal... but, the Grand Canyon is being eroded both in the bottom by the Colorado River and on the sides by wind, rain, etc. It is getting wider, and therefore moving back from where it has been. Same principle as Niagra Falls only different forces and much slower.

For 2, I am going to say Mt. Rushmore. It is probably facing West, so as the earth rotates, it is moving backwords, also, I am not sure how many other landmarks have a clearly defined forwards and backwards.

You have the stem on a piece of wood leading inside the bottle, once the fruit gets big enough all that is needed is to cut the stem and the fruit is inside the bottle.

    How come onions grow wild?

Technically, skis go on ski boots, so that one's OK, but snowshoes go on regular boots, not your feet and stilts go on feet the same way that bicycle pedals and stirrups do, which is usually not directly on the foot.
