I still say if we have any trade plans they rely on situations affecting other teams (Miami and Odom; Portland and new management?) So we'll see.
There's no need to panic. There really wasn't any deal out there that could have made the Rockets contenders anyway. That fact plus their salary cap mess virtually guaranteed that any move the team made would be minor and inconsequential. They will have to work themselves out of their current position as there are no easy fixes. The thing to remember is that the Rockets did NOT do something stupid as say Golden State just did. Had CD and Uncle Les dumped salary like GS, this BBS would have detonated with outrage. Remember: Things can ALWAYS be WORSE!
Sure, things can be worse. But that doesn't mean the team is going to improve much.. Les and CD aren't geniuses who deserve championships and parades for not being stupid. It just means they aren't as stupid as Golden State's front office. It's not that people are worried that the Rockets are going to trade Yao Ming and/or Stevie for expiring contracts.. It's that people want to see improvement within the individual players and there hasn't been much in recent years (Eddie, Nachbar, MoTay, Mooch, and Mobley to a lesser extent)..
