for those interested: http://www.realcavsfans.com/showthread.php?41989-2013-Cavs-Mr-clutch-Omri-Casspi/page3 Also please don't ban me, but some of their graphics/overall layout looked pretty cool... For those who don't feel like clicking there, they basically believe he can't do anything but give hard effort, shoot 3's, and rebound....sounds like a GREAT FIT!
They signed Earl freaking Clark instead of this guy. I hope he can still play. Apparently, he's a terrible passer. He played SF under Scott, when he's probably more suited as a stretch 4. He likes to rebound.
p.s not that you care but the official fan page is cavsfanatic and about Casspi leading NBA for 3pt- it was until Mid Dec when scott put him on bench. see stats here- http://espn.go.com/nba/player/gamelog/_/id/3554/omri-casspi
Lol gotta love clutchfans... Casspi will be solid... Similar to Garcia, but would rather have Corey Brewer!
Riddle me this clutch fans... What happened to him? I know his first few years he showed some excellent plays and potential but he kinda fizzled since. Was it a injury or some team issues?
It was a combination of things - some nagging injuries, systems (or rather non-systems) that didn't fit his skill set, teams that focused on getting stats for their star rookies (Tyreke Evans, Kyrie Irving) rather than trying to win games, Casspi losing confidence, etc.
Morey needs to sign the guy who removed Omri's appendix so he can start doing that to opposing players.
Seems like a solid role player! I'm sure McHale will emphasize defense into his game on the court. A tiny bit of improvement can help Dwight not waste so much energy.
Casspi rebounds better than Morris and probably just as good as him shooting threes. Morris is a better athlete and has much more tenacity and toughness but Casspi is a good fit. Ironically Morris and PPats weak rebounding and defense can be tolerated more with Howard and either one would work here now. I still holdhope that DMo show more consistency this year and gets his three down. he could be better than anyone we could realistically trade for if he does that.
Ok my questions are - Is he a good player? Is he that type of player that can bring defense, hustles and shoot clutch 3's and mid range jumpers? Can he help this team? How good is he?
