ok heres the thing. im solid with my fantasy football team everywhere but running back. my league uses the two rb system. i have stephen davis starting and that is definate. however, my other rb i cant seem to decide so i figured id come to the good ol bbs for help.

should i start chris perry, rookie from cinci who had a great season in college but may not do much this year? or should i start antowain smith, who is not the starter in tennesse but will probably get a few carries?

any help would be much appreciated. thanks.

First off, are you playing in a league which does not allow roster moves during the season?

From your question it seemed that way. I have played in some leagues like that, and making decisions like this are crucial in whether you finish first or worst.

Anyways, I'll assume you are playing in a roster changeable league:

i would go with antowain smith for the sole reason that he is starting. while he may not get every snap, its better than having someone sit on the bench all game. unless rudi johnson gets hurt, I dont see perry playing at all. but if rudi johnson does get hurt, i would definitely go with chris perry. cincy is big on the run.

plus also base your roster moves on strength of schedule for each team.

If you want to join a clutch bbs league, i invite you to join IROC IT's league. Its posted a few messages below.

We have 7 so far, and are looking for 10 total. We draft Tuesday.

Actually, Antowain Smith is anything but starting. He seems to be planted on the bench pretty firmly behind Chris Brown in Tennessee, who has looked great in the preseason. The only hope you have with Antowain is that Chris Brown's hammy problems come up again.

Perry held out for a while, and came back for preseason, only to fumble on his very first carry.

I'd stay away from both of these guys, frankly. They both are equally inept. Are there any other options for you? If I had to choose, I might go with Antowain Smith, just because he has more experience than Perry.

Are there no free agents available?

Pick up another RB like Moe Williams of MIN if possible, he may be starting now, and is off most people's radar, at least in leagues I'm already in... that's why I got him. :D

Also, look for RB's like Suggs at CLE... better numbers this year for sure...

If they're taken go for a RB by committee back like Duckett of ATL or the like...

And yes... someone please come round out our league... we need like 3 teams to have ten, and we're working on possibly having the draft here, then transposing it to the yaschmoo page.;)

I'd grab "s.bryson-detroit" if you have the roster room. I believe he's a starter.

Also, "j.bettis-pittsburgh" is sure to get some third down time, and scoring position time.

My opinions though, based on yahoo notes.
