I thoguht I understood the CBA pretty well but now I have come up with a confusion.Everyone here is saying that the new rookie contracts for 1st round players last for 5 years, with a team option in the 4th year to mantain the player and after the 5th year the player becomes a restricted FA which is what I understood too,but if you think about it,it doesnt make sense. With this case the player wont be able to chose where to play, because even though a team could be offering the max,his original team has his full bird-rights so they can match any offer, over the cap or not so the question is how does this really work? Maybe things do happen like this which would mean steve is a lock to stay here for at least 6 years unless he is traded, but this seems so unreasonable that its probably incorrect. Anyone?? ------------------ Arriba mi Nacional, vamos mi Colombia al mundial.
