I have to say… I’m pretty flabbergasted at the idea of trading up for Ivey.

the idea of the “most explosive” backcourt in the league doesn’t excite me a ton. I’d much prefer most skilled. Or how about anyone of them having unique PG like skills? Jalen + Ivey would be fun at times but ultimately there’s endless great guard play in the nba. I do t think there’s enough A+++ PG like play making there. Ivey is a combo guard or undersized 2 guard. Even with the “just take talent” concept i still consider fit a bit and dont like it.

I’d much rather save assets and go “all-in” next year to move up and select “our guy” in a deep draft.

that includes TRADING OUT of pick 17 this year if there’s no one really awesome available.

my two cents. Watch Ivey go and dominate the next 10 years lol - I watched a lot of Purdue and he just disappeared a ton and I do t see a lot of pure skill - it wasn’t bad by any means and his athleticism is clearly off the charts but I just don’t love him like others.

    Just draft Ivey at #3

Rockets already have one lateral quickness challenged guy in Sengun.

Jeremy Lin lacked lateral quickness, Covington lacked lateral quickness and
it burns their teams defensively on the perimeter. Rockets will have to surround
Banchero with uber quick players around him.....which means bye-bye Sengun.

Use Sengun to move up to #4 if you wish
