Clutch is a PS2 owner. I have heard that the DVD playing portion of the player is solid and the DVD hardware was actually upgraded because of problems found in the original sold in Japan. I believe the PS2 does come with a DVD remote, too. DVD players start at about $160 on up. If you want to play console games and have a DVD player, then you should buy the PS2 if and when you can get one. Or you could rent one from Blockbuster(again...if you can) or go to Best Buy and check it out for yourself. My friend has the PS2... The DVD, he tells me, is fine... Though he also tells me that the PS2 is not much better than the Dreamcast as far as pure eyecandy....At least not enough to justify the cash he laid out... ------------------
