Don't know if you are familiar with Houston area comedy clubs, but do you know if Polley Shore frequents any of them?

Supposedly, this kid that I kinda know, but is one of my friend's best friends(he's 19) did a show at a local club. I think it was The Laugh Stop. Anywho, Polley Shore was supposedly watching this show, and caught up to him afterwards. He told him that he should go to California where he could make it big. He gave the kid his mom's number and told him to call her because she is a talent representative or something. The kid left for California like the next day. This was only a couple of days ago. He just got in his old pickup and took off. He is really funny, and I think he has the talent to make it big. He was voted like Most Daring, and Class Clown of their class last year.

Anyways, do you know anything about my question?

It's Pauly, not polley, and his mom is Mitzi, owner of The Comedy Store in Los Angeles.

I've never gotten that joke about the doctor who asks the guy with the headaches if he masturbates and then tells him "great, isn't it."

Try this line on any dude that is pissing you off.

"Did you know that 50% of the men masterbate in the shower, and the other 50% are singing."

Then say in a jovial manner " Do you know what song they are singing"

Most will answer no before they think...then you pounce...

    "Didn't think so..."

    ***DISCLAIMER:***
His views by no means characterizes those of the rest of Americans concerning Pauley Shore. Pauley Shore is an annoying, pestering dweeb who last made someone laugh in 1988 at his family owned club, "The Comedy Store." Please make sure you are not influenced into thinking Americans have such low standards, even for a Jewish commedian. Thank you.

I watched Bio Dome TWICE yesterday. I'd watch it if it was on right now. I slept 3 hours and then got up damnit. Sleep cashed for the night.

I was gonna start a thread about movies that most people dislike that, for whatever reason, you LOVE. Instead, I'll put my list here:

    1. The Pirate Movie
    2. Bio Dome
    3. Son in Law
    4. The Last Boyscout
    5. Hook

the rest will come to me.

    EddieWasSnubbed:

Pauly Shore was probably playing the Laff Stop that night. Most, if not all, of their headliners are touring comics. So it wouldn't matter much whether he frequents Houston -- he was probably just on tour. If you want to confirm the story, go to the Laff Stop website (probably laffstop.com) and see if he was playing that night.

That said, I don't give anyone who moves to CA on Pauly Shore's advice too much chance of success. Too easy to bash him, so I won't even bother, except to say shame on the Laff Stop for booking him.

p.s. While I'm here, as it turns out, Eddie wasn't snubbed. He just isn't that good. Yet, at least.

Anyways, here's my quick list in no particular order.

    1. Kung Pow: Enter the Fist (my friends and I quote the hell out of this movie)
    2. Last Action Hero
    3. Daredevil
    4. The Cable Guy
    5. Godzilla (the american one)
    6. Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey

    Sorry it took so long.

Contrary to popular belief, if Pauly Shore likes you it is a good thing.

First of all his Mom is still one of the most powerful people in stand up and she listens to his recommendations. To get on stage at the Comedy Store is very difficult but if Pauly is in your corner you're a shoe in.

Secondly, even as cheesy as Pauly is he does sell out most of his shows. Titty-dancers and 80's slackers buy tickets too and he is a cult figure among them. Plus, most people that are critical of acts like Pauly and Carrot Top haven't seen them enough to be objective.

Finally, he just debuted a fairly successful independent film, gets a TV deal just about every year (even though it never pans out) and is one of the most popular touring comics around.

He's not Dennis Miller, but he's carved himself quite a niche.

Tell your friend congrats and good luck!

Jeff is a cool guy, I haven't heard from him in a while but I trust that he and Marty are doing well.

Actually Mooch we are working on a production deal with Comedy Central to do our own show. I was offered 'Star Search' last week but as long as I keep doing whatever is available, the industry will never accept me as a 'next level' comedian.

    Awesome!

Good luck, can't wait to see it.

Any idea what type of show it will be. As in one of their Stand Up shows or your own special?

Of course now you have to work under VIACOM instead of AOLTimeWarner.:(
