Neither of my 2 kids ever had a drop of formula. My wife breastfed them both for 2 years and I know it was great for them. Congratulations on your new kid and breast feeding. In the long run it is so much easier than formula, not to mention cheaper. My (our) biggest suggestion would be to avoid pacifiers and feed the kid as often as they want to eat. If the kid is crying, rooting around for the tit, or will suck on your little finger then it is hungry. I remember ours doing exactly as yours is now and it gradually became longer and longer each feeding. You should be proud of your kid and your wife... I know I'm proud of mine.
First one to the marker where that Pakistani girl fell through the ice after coming to the States to get treatment for her severely burned face which she got when the man she refused to marry dumped sulphuric acid on her wins. I win! -peter
My fiancee's are about that size, she has talked often about getting a reduction. She says it's good to have something bigger then a mosquito bite, but when women get them too big they will see problems later on in life, such as back problems. But for now, now complaints frome me.
Just make sure you know when to wean the kid off... I work in a restaurant and a while back I had a co-worker tell me about a table she had the night before. It was a couple with a kid that was probably six or seven years old. Salad and bread was on the table, but the kid wasn't eating and kept saying that he wanted "binkey". Mom kept telling that he couldn't have "binkey" and that he needed to eat some salad, but the kid kept going on and on. Finally, the mom broke down and told the kid fine. The next time my co-worker went to the table, mom had a blanket over her chest and the kid's head was under the blanket...
When I worked as a schoolteacher, I had a colleague from Denmark. She taught math to a group of upper Middle Schoolers while breastfeeding her newborn daughter.
At what age do you start to understand the concept of incest? Wouldn't it be funny when the kid turns 8 or something, and all of a sudden, he's mortified of milk?
Ahh...this reminds me of an experience from a poster of yesteryear... http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=981755&postcount=5
That is too old to be doing that, poor kid doesn't know any better. When can CPS step in and say when it's too old?
