Can someone help me here -- Hakeem had a quadruple double. David, too, I think. How many times has it been pulled off in an NBA game?

Where can info like this be found?

    Thanks!

Only four players have been able to get quadruple doubles in the NBA.
PLAYER POINTS REBOUNDS ASSISTS BLOCKS STEALS YEAR
    NATE
    THURMOND 22 14 13 12 - 1974
    ALVIN
    ROBERTSON 20 11 10 - 10 1986
    HAKEEM
    OLAJUWON 18 16 10 11 - 1990
    DAVID
    ROBINSON 34 10 10 10 - 1994

Rockets center Hakeem Olajuwon collected the franchise’s only quadruple-double on March 29, 1990 with 18 points, 16 rebounds, 11 blocks and 10 assists as the Rockets defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, 120-94.

Olajuwon's quadruple-double is one of only four recorded in NBA history.

The others include Nate Thurmond, Chicago (1974)
    Alvin Robertson, San Antonio (1986)
    David Robinson, San Antonio (1994)

Weren't they desperately trying to get Clyde that last assist? He should've found a way to pass it to himself, Ricky Davis style.

Clyde can blame Tracy Moore (only tru Rox fans will remember him) for not being able to get him that quad.

He had THREE wide open jumpshots in the fourth quarter, and bricked them all... they each would have given Clyde his 10th assist.

It was funny b/c I was at the game, and a lot of people were clueless that Clyde was so close to this... and so people were wondering why Rudy was keeping him in w/ all the scrubs, since it was a blowout.

The Rockets tried to give Olajuwon the 10th whatever (I don't remember if it was assist or block) AFTER the game was over and they realized he was that close. Had it been awarded, it would have been a 'tainted' quadruple double.

I remeber that night, I think Kevin Willis took a wide open three in the closing seconds trying to get him that assist, it was sad that it couldn't of happened. I think that's the first game we had Barkley and we wanted to start of with a bang. Man, that would've been a great great team had they been able to stay healthy, they started the season better than the Bulls that year until they started getting hurt. We had 3 all - star starters that year and Rudy coached, but I think only one of them was able to play. The second half went bad and the team just didn't jell quite enough and came up short, memories.

Yeah it was Kev for three. It was nothing like Ricky Davis though.

The other team wouldn't have cared bc Clyde's actually good.

Online? Not really. There aren't any real compendeum's online. You can pick up the yearly basketball reference put out by the Sporting News. It has every stat by every player ever. It's about the size of a phone book.

Oh and for the record, there is an online stats service - the Elias Sports Bureau. But, it is not accessible to the general public. Networks pay for the right to access those statistics and, in some cases, actually pay to have Bureau members on the staff at the games like Monday Night Football.
