This article about five "dangerous exercises" showed up when I was checking Hotmail: http://health.msn.com/dietfitness/a...5&su=hotmail.com/cgi-bin/hmhome&wa=wsignin1.0 Nothing about pushups (I'm sure they're fine), but I never realized that behind-the-neck exercises could do damage.
Push-ups can also be hard on your wrists. Do fist push-ups. It's hard core and your friends will be impressed, not to mention you will get lots of poon-tang.
Hmmm...back in 74 it was "how many in 1 minute". And being somewhat (snicker, snicker) on the thin side, I tested out at 61 perfect push-ups in 60 seconds. But that was sooooooo many cigarettes ago.... RR
I don't understand the "do them every day thing" - I didn't think you were supposed to work the same muscles every day? Aren't you supposed to rest in between and work a different muscle(s) the next day? The only muscles I thought you could do every day were abs and calfs, but that was a while ago that I heard that.
In some of the cardio classes, we have to do push-ups...I usually do them on my knuckles (i.e. closed fist)...I haven't tried the bars, but will now...
