Pigto, was the puppy extra hyper/active? When we first got our dog his sugar level got very low because he wasn't eating enough. In any case I'd take him to a vet as soon as you can.
what's the color of the puppy's tongue? if it's pale with no pink color he's probably anemic which is dangerous....i'd take him to vet asap. i had 2 puppies pass away within days of them getting sick. they wouldn't play, eat and barely drank water
Way to jump to the worst possible scenario. Puppies get sick, if it's only been a day, it's really not that big of a deal. Dogs usually get parvo from ingesting another dogs feces or in rare cases a mosquito bite. Most likely your pup is constipated or something, if he doesn't return to normal in the next couple of days you should take him in.

Sorry to hear that man, I have had a similar experience, I would suggest giving him some pedalite to get him hydrated. But no matter what you need to take him to the vet, after all that's what they are there for
Unfortunately, right on the money . I chose to try to save him, I'm hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst. I've only had him a week, but I feel like I've had the small fella for years .
ElPigto, I applaud your effort to try and save him. You seemed to have caught it very early and are treating it. I do not want to tell you how to proceed. I do not and did not mean to scare you. I don't mind the snarky replies in this thread - the snarkiness of the bbs is what makes it awesome, AND they were right, I did jump to the worst case conclusion. Got lucky in that it was what it was, BUT I also have dealt with parvo multiple times. The symptoms were there from what you described. I do not really want to lay out the totality of my experiences with parvo. Having been deeply involved in dog rescue in the past, i've seen it a few times. Your vet should be able to give you much better advice. Good news is that we've had a couple of dogs recover from it with no problems. I've heard other dogs can recover, but may have permanent problems depending on how sick they get before recovery. But I won't lie, we've lost a few to the disease, and may have even let one get too far down the road before making that tough choice. You will know when it's a losing battle.... but I really hope, and right now truly believe it won't get to that point for you. Good luck. Keep us updated!
Manny, the puppy has parvo. not funny any more. btw: everyone in this thread should rep ElPigto for doing the treatment.
