Hey guys, I just recently got a puppy last week. Today he seems he has been really lethargic and sad. He also does not want to eat any food at all. He got vaccinated this past Monday and de-wormed. I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with puppies. I am thinking about taking him to the vet tomorrow, but I was thinking for the time being if anyone might have any suggestions to get him to eat or get his spirits up.
Where did you get him from? You should follow up with a vet. Not that it is, but it could be parvovirus, which is horrible horrible - I've had the unfortunate task of caring for some dogs terminally sick with parvovirus. May be nothing but better safe then sorry.
Way to jump to the worst possible scenario. Puppies get sick, if it's only been a day, it's really not that big of a deal. Dogs usually get parvo from ingesting another dogs feces or in rare cases a mosquito bite. Most likely your pup is constipated or something, if he doesn't return to normal in the next couple of days you should take him in.
By the way he just started feeling like this today. I got home last night like at 2 am and he had thrown up some of his food. I took him outside to go poop at that time and he pooped normally. This whole day though he has just been down. My aunt came over like at 4 with my cousin and that was the only time he was energetic and playing around but then after thirty minutes he got really sad and lethargic again and just wants to sleep.

its most likely the medicine for the de-worming. My dog was the same when he was a puppy and i was giving him his de-worming tablets. He was sad and would throw up every now and then, but if he keeps throwing up, you might have to take him back to the vet.

If you just got the puppy it could be going through a depression/adjustment period being away from his family and other dogs, or people that he knew. The de-wormer might also be a problem. I wouldn't think it's too serious, but if he doesn't start eating tomorrow then take him to the vet.
I'd still go to the vet. And just keep an eye out. Itmis the worst possible situation, but I've seen it multiple times with shelter pups.
If you can afford to get him checked for parvo, well then do it... It's bad. I rather be on the safe side and avoid putting a dog through it all. Maybe give him another day or two and try giving him different food. Just keep an eye out incase he gets worse.
Had a similar situation.
A blatant lie made obvious by the fact that Swoly is incapable of communicating without the use of smilies.
Way to jump to the worst possible scenario. Swoly-D can get sick, if it's only been a day, it's really not that big of a deal. Latinos usually get parvo from ingesting another latino's feces or in rare cases a mosquito bite. Most likely Swoly-D is constipated or something, if he doesn't return to normal in the next couple of days you should report him in.
