So I got a PI last night in greenville (party area in dallas). What do yall think would be the best thing to do? I was thinking of maybe disputing it because 1) they have no proof i was drunk
    2) im not even 21

Do yall think I should just plea no contest, pay the fine, and get probation? I just want it off my record.

Thanks for any help guys. When your in trouble you can always count on Clutchfans to lead you the right way!

Sometimes they offer you a deal where if you pay a fine and don't get in trouble for six months they clean it off your record. You could try for that.

Just ask if there is a way that it could be removed from your record.

What does 21 have to do with it? If you're drunk, you're drunk regardless of age right?

Doesn't that mean you you're charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor as well??

You could try to get deferred disposition..

Seems you are leaving out some of the story. How old are you? Why do you say they have no proof you were drunk? Did they just select you at random and ticket you? Do they know you are not 21? What do you think would happen if you say in open court that you are not 21? Perhaps they may add an additional charge.

Sounds like you could fight it and get off easily. Say you were hopped up on Red Bull or something. PI's are iffy, you can get those dismissed on your own. Just be prepared to show up to court at least twice. Trial by jury.

21? If age had anything to do with this, it would be 17. Teens are getting caught with small misdemeanors and getting let go with a slap on the wrist and a clean record at 18.

I think you should tell them you're not even 21. That'll show 'em!

Wear baggy pants and backward cap when you go to court also.
