Did anyone see this show on monday? I saw this show and I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. It was interesting to see all of the old atheletes I believe they were Misty May(volleyball), Alexi Lalas(soccer), Xavier McDaniel(basketball), Dave Stewart(baseball), and Kevin Greene(football). Basically the show takes 3 guys and puts then in different challenges with these former players. It is an american gladiator type of thing except they take the former pros on in there respective sports. The first on was they had to take a handoff and there were 2 cones they had to try and run through to get a 5 yard touchdown the only thing was Kevin Greene was absolutely demolishing them. He had some brutal hits on some of these guys. And it was also pretty funny to see X-man is now basically Shaq's size with a lot more fat. He said he is 6'7 290 But they did basically a glorified layup drill with a moving basket and 2 of the 3 "joe's" beat him, how embarrasing. At the end they did somewhat of an obstacle course in each of the "pro's" respective sports. But damn they were almost impossible. The had to block Kevin Green from getting to the dummy QB which was nothing short of hilarious considering he ran right through all of them without even being close to stopped. Next they had to grab a rebound over X-man and I have never seen so many forearm shivers (from Xavier of course) in a pickup game even. He was basically beating them up, lol. They had to dig spikes by Misty May then make a head shot against Lalas which was basically impossible. It was cool to see skinny ass Lalas call the "joe" weightlifter a **ssy. Then they had to catch pitches from Stewart. I do not like reality TV but I do love sports and seeing others embarrass themselves. And I found this show to be quite entertaining. I guess the time slot is Monday at 9:00PM on Spike TV. If you get a chance check it out.
Yeah, I saw part of an episode a few days ago. It seems pretty interesting, but I'd only watch it for certain sports figures that were on a particular episode.
The episode with Rodman was interesting. They had a shooting drill, and a couple of the Joes beat him. But then they did a rebounding drill, and it wasn't even fair. One Joe got one rebound total, only because the shot went long and he chased it down. Rodman shut the Joes down. They also had a football drill with Jerry Rice, where you had to cover Jerry Rice. He shut the Joe's down. Only one Joe knocked down a pass. It was great.
Rockets Fans, Clyde Drexler is also a participant on Spike TV's Pros vs. Joe's. Not sure which episode he's on but I know he's part of it.
I've tried watching this show a couple of times... I don't think it gets any more worthless or boring. The only reason I tried watching the 2nd time was because Clyde was on there...
so is anyone else following this show? i thought it was a good concept ...but watching all these washed up althletes is a bit sad ...i can't believe Clyde is on the show ....and Xavier McDaniel looks like hes 400 lbs.
btw ..their "all-star" show is on now Clyde and X-Man for basketball John Rocker and Darren Daulton for baseball Goldberg (WTF?) and Kevine Green for football
Clyde playing hockey was hilarious (He is pretty funny on the show, his natural personality is alot better than his commentating). I watch it when i have time.
I caught the end of it. Goldberg was pretty terrible. He clearly didn't belong. The John Rocker part didn't make much sense. How'd they come up with that one?
I'm surprised at the reaction to this show. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I watched 1 or 2 episodes of the show, including the one with Clyde, and was bored out of my mind. Crazy drills. Some everyday stiffs off the street. Some washed up athletes. Oh boy.
