    in fact it is +3.
in a game won by 13, +3 is pretty average.

and Head is a SG who did a fantastic job on offensive end.

If we have even 15 or 16 TOs instead of 23, the Kings probably score 4-6 less pts and we score 4-6 more. The offense was pretty good tonight but the defense was awful, especially in the 1st half. Then again, that's what you should probably expect with Battier not playing and Hayes only getting 5 minutes.

How about Yao? He only had 7 shots when he, TMac and Artest started. If we are going to play Yao less minutes this year, then he should be utilized a lot more often. That's not going to happen when he has to share the ball with two other potential 20 point scorers. Scola has the ability to score more and deserves a lot more then 4 shots a game. The starting lineup has plenty of firepower with Yao, Tmac and Scola leading the way. Artest coming off the bench would bring a lot more balance to the team. Not to mention Battier isn't going to be effective without getting his shots setup by Yao or Tmac. All this is moot anyway because it doesn't matter who starts, it matters who finishes and Artest will always be there during crunch time.

I said he looked in bad shape.....never said he was flat out done...so learn how to read "r****d".

Anybody that has had a major knee injury knows exactly what I'm talking about. McGrady legs look weak, extremely weak and he still has a LONG way to go.......that's all I was saying.

These stats are amazing even if it's only a meaningless preseason game:

    FG%: 56% (42-75)
    3PT%: 46% (6-13)
    FT%: 95% (20-21)

If we can maintain our defensive discipline while loosening up our offense, we will be dominating our fair share of games.

    Please, McGrady... get well!

Please, Yao, no more injuries! That scared the crap out of me.

Thats what happens when you basically have 3 All-Stars

Kevin Garnett's points went down when he went with the Celtics. I think having the 3 of them in at the same time is pretty effective, you will never see any double teams.

And if we do see double teams, we should PUNISH THEM for it!

no that's fine to make that assessment. but you made that assessment when you saw him playing in his 2nd real game (w/ long breaks in between) and he is kind of out of shape.

nobody rational makes that assessment seeing a guy just barely playing again after his first injury.

however, if tmac looks like this by december, then yes, you can make that assessment.

Yes, particularly the FTs. FT shooting is a strange phenomenon, like it spreads through the team when things are going well and when they are going badly.

u forgot that yao also had 7 more fts.

but i do agree with you, yao should NEVER play the high post. utilize him more when he's out there in the low post. yao plays one way, that's the JVG way.

Yea, the FT shooting was impressive but I was just as impressed, if not more, with the 56% from the field and 46% from three.

Fine I'll wait until december......just hope it doesn't turn into one of the cronic things that's always ailing him.

Like when you turn your TV on to watch the game and the first thing you hear is........."Tmac is out tonight his knee swelled up during shoot around".

Y'all probably think I'm paranoid and I probably am just paranoid, but knee injuries scare the bejesus out of me (look at agent zero).....I can't stand them.

if it's chronic, it's chronic and we'll have to accept it. don't extend him when his contract runs out or give him much less money if we do re-sign him.

but you can see in the 2nd half that he loosened up and got better. i think the more important thing was that he wasn't in great game shape.

had he gotten more foul calls, his #s might look much better considering the shape he is in.

nevertheless, BOTH tmac and yao proclaimed they are ready for the season after the game, via the chronicle. so that's good to hear.

People are going to extremes in both directions regarding T-Mac.

On one hand, it's ridiculous to think he's done. It's waaaaaaay to early to draw that kind of conclusion. This is highly unlikely no matter what he's dealing with.

On the other hand, he looked veeeeeeery gimpy tonight. He was wincing in pain and it wasn't conditioning related. Something was hurting him bad. He couldn't jump well at all and his lateral and backwards movement was almost nonexistent. Don't be surprised if he misses a few games early in the season. I think he'll be 100% in another few weeks though.

tmac says he's ready for the season after the game. apparently, he felt fine.

and yes, he won't look like tmac 7-8 games into the season. that's why we have ron.

Good to hear him say that. I'll hesitantly take it at face value.

Yes, good to have Mr. Artest.
