well, im not so positive about this but it's a very exciting and intriguing coaching set up.

considering we get a decent starting center this season, whatcha guys think?

    50+ wins is not mediocre.

The lottery is not a failure if that's the only realistic way to acquire a superstar.

McHale probably can't do much if we have holes at center and small forward.

Bud and Hayes are just not gonna cut it. Need Thabeet and Willy to grow up and turn into borderline all-stars for us to suceed.

Depends. Do you consider Adelman a failure since we have been lottery bound the past 2 years?

He came here to coach Yao and Tmac but all he got was 6 6 center and atheltic PF of Scola.

    I call it a success.

Finals or conference finals is not successs if you don't win the championship.

I see. So you would call it a failure if McHale coaches the same 6 6 center and athletic PF of Scola to a similar result.

Not that I think that will happen btw.

we're talking about a rookie coach here and a young team... don't expect too much.

    My mistake. I apologize.

In that case, with the addition of a starting center alone, I'd say 50+ wins, and some playoff success. Like Memphis this year. Conference finals at best, I'd guess. No franchise player, no championship.

Low expectations is racist racism. If your not first your last!

I predict there will be many, many more McHale threads to pop up before he even coaches one game for the Rockets. Also, why is there never a championship choice in any of these polls? It's like everyone is just settling for a finals appearance or just making the playoffs.
