Good luck Manny! Keep your head up and do the right thing. Good karma tends to find good people in unexpected ways.
Hang in there Manny. You seem like a very sincere and hard working guy and it will work out as others realize it. Obviously keep looking.
Well, it's just gets worse. No, I haven't lost my job but the project I am working on is a freaking disaster and I have 34.5 hours in plus I got to work this Friday and probably most of the weekend. The only good thing is I get to use tomorrow for another day in the future. I got home at 11:30 last night and I'll be getting home tonight around 10:30. I am NOT working tomorrow at all but it really sucks the big one that I'll be working 3 of the next 4 days.
Galatians 6:9: "Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time you shall reap a harvest if you faint not." That verse has inspired me for years; maybe it will help you...
Manny I totally get the pressures as do most of us here. It gets rough and sometimes you feel like you can't win no matter what you do. You can and will get through it. You have the support of a lot of people. Hopefully something comes up to get you out of there. Take care, good luck.
After killing myself this past Friday and Saturday to get this where it needs to be, I had a talk with my boss's boss yesterday afternoon. I tried to explain to him what I am up against and how I was behind the 8 ball. The bottom line is that I am not smart enough nor fast enough to do the stuff that he wants me to do. And because of that, I could technically be let go as early as today. Now, I do think that they will let me stay to get this project done - it is due to the customer by the 7th of December. But I could be wrong - I am having my doubts that I will get to stay through the end of my probation which is Dec 19. Meanwhile, my most promising lead is one that I cannot find out any more information on until at least this coming Monday (the 6th). Let's go ahead and say that they term me whether it is today, Friday the 3rd, or even at the end of my 30 days (the 19th). Here is what I would plan on doing (and let me know if these are good ideas or not): 1 - see if there is any way possible that they would let me stay but at a lower position and pay 2 - if that is not an option they want to do, see if they would be willing to give me 2 weeks severance pay 3 - ask to see if they would report my separation from them as a RIF (reduction in force) and not as a termination for cause so I could get unemployment Is there anything else I should be asking? Advice or tips??
