12 (11) Rockets 44-36 The good news: Rockets have avoided that 'historic collapse' you've heard so much about. The bad news: Rockets probably lost their status as a dangerous first-round opponent by coming close to collapsing.

Dont know about this. Denver and Utah round up the top ten, dont you think we at least deserve to be in the top ten. I know we have been sucking but this is the "Final Power Ranking" Seemd like we should be above the two teams TRAILING us in the seeding??

It's a weekly rank, namely, it based on teams' performance in the previous week. So the Rockets are lucky to be ranked at #12.

Actually, #12 is pretty fair considering we played like crap last few games.

I am happy with getting into the playoff. With JVG as the coach, a #7 seed can get into the the second round and the conference final.

JVG is the man during the playoff. With his impeccable preparation, Rox will do well. You are not going to see that many blowout losses for JVG's team during the playoff.

Next year, Rox will be much better with all these off-season trade.
Rox needs to make 3 moves during the off-season.

A PF who can board and hit a jumper.
A steady PG who can hit a jumper
A defender who can defend the 3-pointers.

Rox's 3-point defense is really bad now.

the rockets grind it out style is perfect for the playoffs. They may not win in the 1st round but they'll give some team a run for their money.

That doesn't make any sense, the Rockets struggling for a few weeks actually increases their chances of beinga dangerous first round team since we're likely to catch someone who thinks the Rocks will be an easy mark! The Rockets had the same record last week as Denver an Utah, so the Rockets should have been ahead of them! Doesn't matter, we're in the playoffs so I'm happy! :)
