Suppose you have a 5 acre piece of land that has high voltage power lines cutting across the middle. The towers are not on your property, but the lines are above.
Are there any restrictions that would prevent you from digging a pond under the lines? I've heard that maybe you couldn't build a structure under them in a 30 ft area, but what about digging a pond under them?

Another thing, what's your opinion on the health factors of living near high voltage power lines?

    Thanks.

Go ahead and build the pond because you are probably going to die from high voltage power line cancer soon. You might as well enjoy it with the little time that you have left.

As long as the power company can service the lines you should be fine. That's why they don't want you planting tall trees or installing a building. A pond should be fine. A pond woudn't really prevent them from doing anything unless they had to drive heavy equipment back there I suppose.
