Bosh decides he is opting out and goes pblic with it. New Orleans continues to deteriorate.

    McGrady/Brooks and Hoston's 2010 first ronder to N.O.
    Okafor/Landry/Cook to TO.
    CP3/Bosh to Houston.

This would probably have to be modified with pieces added to make it fly. But what better fit for Okafor than Toronto? What better offer to TO besides 2 star post players (they are loaded on the perimeter)? We may have to give up Ariza for Posey. We may have to add an additional future first rounder.

Toronto doesnt get hosed as much as NO gets.

I could actually see Toronto doing that deal.

Preposterous trade proposal. Maybe in another universe.

This trade wouldn't be realistic on NBA LIVE much less the real NBA.

Great and then Morey can trade David Andersen for LeBron James.

    Stop being ridiculous.

The Rockets would have to throw in Dorsey to make that happen.

    Very unlikely, but certainly possible.

You would have to sweeten the deal for New Orleans some by giving them Scola. Essentially, New Orleans would be trading Cp3 for Brooks and 28 million in expiring contracts.

Toronto, who are likely to lose Bosh and get nothing in return are essentially trading Bosh for Emeka and Peterson. It isn't a great deal for them, but again, they risk getting nothing.

Morey has said on several occasions that he hopes to be able to take advantage of a struggling market to land a superstar. He doesn't plan on just making safe bets forever. It's just how desperate will other teams get?

Bosh, Paul, and Songaila to Houston
McGrady, Brooks, and Landry to New Orleans
    Okafor and Scola to Toronto

New Orleans gets to slash costs plus two good, young (cheap) players.
Scola is much more likely to resign in Toronto than Bosh, and Okafor means that Bargnani can move back to PF where he belongs. Toronto could really use Okafor to shore up their awful defense IMO.
    Houston gets two all-stars. :)

    Next year:
    PG: Paul/Lowry
    SG: Ariza/Taylor
    SF: Battier/Budinger
    PF: Bosh/Songaila
    C: Yao/Hayes or Andersen

I think New Orleans is pretty desperate. A lot more so than Toronto, at least.

Ok, let's have fun with this. NO does it because it gives them cap space and two very good players if they want to re-sign them. TOR does it because they actually get something for Bosh instead of letting him walk. They need a guy like Okafor to stay on the inside to compliment Bargani. There, I hope this clears it up. Now get it done Mr. Morey!

Truth be told, I'm still a healthy Tmac fan. I feel that a healthy Tmac playing with Brooks is a damn good deal for New Orleans. I am still in favor of trading Tmac, Brooks, and Cook to New Orleans for Paul, Peja (who sucks) and Peterson (who is overpaid).

    They would have

    Brooks
    Tmac
    Posey
    West
    Okafur

and a **** bench which is what they have now, but that starting 5 is pretty potent; again, assuming Tmac is healthy. Either way they clear out quite a bit of salary over the next few years.

    We would have

    Paul
    Ariza
    Battier
    Scola
    Yao

    and off the bench

    Lowry
    Peterson/Taylor
    Peja/Budinger
    Landry
    Hayes/Anderson

Also, Peja, Peterson, and Battier will all expire in 2011.

I think this deal is VERY doable and New Orleans would be stupid to pass it up.

I mean even IF Tmac doesn't play at all this season, they will be able to shed the horrible, horrible contracts of Peja and Peterson while obtaining a borderline allstar possible point guard and LOTS of capspace.
