Well, it took 21 months to get here, but I made it. I've been trying to figure out what to say on this occasion, and was inspired by RocketmanTex's 1000th post. Back in 1981, I had graduated from high school and was in college for the first time. Things were not going well. I was 18, living with a girl in a really bad relationship, and broke. I was expirimenting with different drugs and drinking way too much. I really was at a serious crossroad of my life. Then I heard a song that changed my life. Now I know many of you may say how corny this sounds, but it happened. Today I am happily married for 14 years, have three wonderful kids, a great job, and am a member of the best damn internet community on the planet! I'm not saying all of this happened as a result of this one song. But to this day, in times of trouble, I reflect back on the words to this song and realize that I can conquer any obstacles life may throw at me. I hope this helps just one teenager out there.
