When they mean "one time only" what do they mean exactly? One time and never again, once a season, or it can happen to a player only once?

Under the current CBA, one player per team during the Summer of 2005 only.

Well, it is all contingent on this one-time Luxury tax waiver. They are being fully paid by their previous employers for the length of their currrent contract.

So, I am thinking that since these are older vets they won't all be looking or expecting a double payday. I am thinking that they would be looking for a ring, ala 'Karla' and 'the Glove'. That is why they may all conregate in Houston to try and bring it home.

I am pretty sure they will all be looking to go to contenders and I am not sure they will all try to get to Houston for the vet minimum. It is a feasible scenario I think, although very unlikely.

Any big name player that gets waived is gonna go running & screaming for a contender. Teams like San Antonio, Detroit, Miami and Phoenix will all probably get 1st priority on these guys who will want nothing more to win since they are still receiving every penny from their previous contracts. Let's just HOPE we are among the teams that receive priority when trying to scoop up one of these guys.
