No.....thats what he'd be screaming to Adelman when Adelman tells him to rotate and show effort on the defensive end.
Amare get so much undue hate that he has now become the most underrated PF in the NBA That being said, I would rather use our assets to acquire a position of need, preferably a wing player. Landry seems like an Amare Light to me
I agree. We dont need Amare. Carl Landry has the same type of skills as Amare. Our weakness is at the 2 where we need a scorer aka Iguodala.
Good SG and a C or tall shotblocking PF would do the trick aka Amare. I'm telling you this guy is the answer. Iguodala is also another answer.
Flip Ariza to the 3 and Iggy to the 2 and thats legit. I agree with your point about amar'e fitting with yao.
landry does everything amare does but for way way cheaper. landry only lacks height and above avg/elite shot blocking. if amare wants a 20mil extension, do you really want to pay an extra 17 mil over landry just for a little height and shot blocking? we need a guard or small forward... it's the only two positions we lack severely. we have solid defense at the 2-3 but absolutely ZERO offense at those positions.
All this 20+ mill per year talk from Amare scares me. I'm thinking 15 mill or less considering his eye and knee issues.
Chris Bosh and Amare are basically the same player, just depends on which guy you cut for the most. Personally I'd take either or on this team, very good at running on the break and hitting shots from inside and out. Dirk is different than all, a legit 7 footer with range out of the gym. I hate Dallas but if we were ever to pair him and Yao that would be a killer combo, a little soft though. Shaq absolutely needs to be in the paint every single play to get his points, that's why it didn't work with him there. It didn't only hurt Amare's game but it hurt Nash's too. He couldn't drive and take tours thru cause everyone was clamored down there guarding Shaq. Yao has the ability to move around the court and it didn't have the success with being put outside on the perimeter because of what players he was surrounded by. He would definitely be succesful with this team we have now, including Amare, if possible.
I guess that there is no such a video for posting because he is not willing to play defense. Go back to the trade, the Suns do not want to pay him for max, then why do the Rockets want to do it, it just does not make sense. Tmac for him would be ok if the Suns want to this deal.
Do you think pops would trade for him if he couldn't play D.i guess Kobe sucks at D to since he doesn't play D for 48.<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/mZjPnqzq_E0&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/mZjPnqzq_E0&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I just don't see as a max guy. His injuries are too relevant to give the max. I think the Rockets should just focus on getting a 2 without splitting up this team too much. I wouldn't be opposed to getting a Bosh or Amare but I feel the team has bigger needs in the long run. But as usual Morey knows exactly what he wants to do.
