Trading for Stoudemire only makes sense when we are willing to resign him this summer. It's pretty obvious that he will demand MAX money and I think it's also pretty obvious that he is not worth that. That's why I don't see us trading for Amare - even though he is an exciting player.

Redoing the numbers, if we move

    Scola/Battier for Stoudemire

    and

    McGrady for Iggy/Daly

Our payroll for next year would be 81 million dollars, possibly 83, depending on how much we resign Lowry for. At this point I think Les wont spend that and I think the story we heard about Morey using McGrady's money to redo Yaos contract is much more likely.

If we can pull Speights along with Iguodala and Dalembert, I would prefer that to taking on Amare and his attitude. Great player...but not an attitude fit in Houston.

^^^Yeah, I doubt Amare stays here.

I really hate his attitude as well. He doesn't fit the picture of a Rockets player give it all and stays humble about it.

    I vote NO.

Look guys, we do not need another overconfident, overpaid, no defense playing wasted talent like Amare.

Remember this before you ever want to sign a guy like that. I bet everyone wants him because of the dunks and occasional blocks he gets. He's a flashy player, nothing more.

If the Rockets really want another 'star' next to Yao, I rather take Bosh because he's more humble and from Houston. If I had to choose, I rather have none because the PF position is fine. We need a new starting SF and SG because Battier is getting old and should be a specialist off the bench next year. Also Ariza as a starter is not going to cut it.

Are you being sarcastic ? Stoudemire is far from a killer, just a tall, athletic PF who can dunk. I'll take Scola and Landry over him any day because they don't have big ego's, are humble and work hard on both ends. Amare is a slouch, ugh

Half-jokingly: We need another "ARIES" in the team (other than Kyle Lowry). Yes, it seems like these guys tend to light up the fire on a team..that's what we need. And guess what Bosh is an Aries. I honestly think Zodiac chemistry blends in well with team chemistry.

Other Aries notables..notice all these guys are tough hard-nosed type players..
    - Jerry Sloan & John Stockton..lol
    - Kyle Lowry
    - Bob Sura
    - Baron Davis
    - Stephen Jackson
    - Chris Bosh
    - Brad Miller
    - Jason Kidd

Anyways, I dont think Amare is good for the Rockets. He's a similar player as Carl Landry..just a bit quicker. What the Rockets really need is a shooter..Kevin Martin would be the PERFECT fit for the Rockets.

Yes to this trade only if it's Tmac we're giving away. No point to give Scola or Landry. Dumb.
