Actually...not bad. I like it. But tell me how we are going to be able to obtain these players. Maybe Odom will only want about $5 million. That means we wouldn't need Posey, who will probably want about that much too. Michael Redd will be a free agent too. They will probably keep them...although they already have Sam Cassell, Desmond Mason, Toni Kukoc, Gary Payton, Tim Thomas, and way too many. We could get him. We should resign Terence Morris. He makes minimum wage and his Steve's Terrapin buddy. He is also a pretty good backup. BUT NO. Keep Mo Taylor. Unless we trade him for someone better. I don't think there are that many players that can score like him nowadays... AND GET RID OF MOOCHIE. What are you thinking? Can't you see that Moochie sucks? But I agree with coaching. Not Jeff Van Gundy...just get a better coach. Our lineup would be... Moochie Norris is another in a long line of bad contracts. After he is cut next season or before the start of training camp, he'll take Matt Maloney's place as the invisible guy down the bench that we're still paying. Definitely should've let him walk and kept Damon Jones.
Michael Redd isn't a free agent after this season. He signed a 2 year deal with Dallas this offseason but the Bucks matched it. Thank god the Bucks matched it.
I like this roster better.. Yao/Cato/Collier Griffin/Taylor/Morris Odom/Posey/Nachbar Francis/Mobley/ Arenas/Mooch i dont know how it could work but hey.. it looks nice
Your thinking is so limited ,put a bit of fantasy into it. An up graded team for our new Arena would look like this. Parker Maddox Trade Mobley Francis Posey Piatowski Resign Posey Odom Nachbar Morris Trade Rice and Collier Brand Taylor Trade Griffin, Moochie Yao Ming Cato The only doubt I have is getting Parker away from SA.
my sentiments exactly. The only question I can ask of fstrada is what the hell (ha ha ha, i know its a pun) are you thinking. Posey has been outstanding, and Cat is our stabilizer (sp?), why would you want to get rid of them, even if by some work of god (yet again i know) we do get Odam, i really don't see need for him.
Get real. Les can't afford 3 MAX players. Well, Yao will be still on Rookie contract for 3 years, but he will sure demand MAX after that. Realisticly, that's when Rockets will have a good chance at the rings. But I agree on getting rid of Moochie, Rice, and Mobley. Griffin maybe. But we need to get some good coaches. Fire LS please! He is aweful. We need better assistant coaches!
The big blight on the Rockets active Roster is Moochie Norris! Why keep him if you might be able to unload this blight? Maddox is at lest as good as him and with more experience this off season he should be an upgrade over Moochie. Great care must be given to the selection of a Point Guard, he must be a pass first, have the ability to set up his shooters, be a good defencive player at his position,he must not be a rebounder and able to move the ball down court quickly for fast breaks.In fact he would be everything that we wanted Francis to be!

Umm let Moochie go!! HE SUCKS!!!! Sirously I would keep Mobley b-cuz he plays with so much passion even though he does some unessesary stuff! I think the Eddie should be the back up to Mo like that maybe he would reqlize how much he will miss his starting spot and work harder and Morris is good its just he dont get min! Well.... as long as we're just messing around..... Francis/Daniels Mobley/Hawkins Artest/Morris/Nachbar Brand/Griffin/Wilcox Ming/Cato But realistically... Francis/Daniels/Maddox Mobley/Hawkins Posey/Morris/Nachbar Thomas/Griffin Ming/Cato Basically the addition of Daniels solidifies the pg position better, and more minutes could be trusted to the backup, and Thomas (or someone like Thomas) could really help defensively at the 4. It'll bring a little more consistency from the 4. I love MoT... but he makes way way too much. Later on depending on how Maddox and Nachbar and Griffin turn out, Daniels, Thomas and Posey could all be trade bait for others... and they could bring some fair players packaged together. If they don't develop, well the positions are still pretty solid.
Oh. Kurt Thomas would be great! Antonio Davis. Either one! They both look similar...and are both mean to Yao. Both 6-9. Yes. He would be nice on our team. And why is it absolutely no way that we can get Michael Redd? He is a free agent. We don't spend the money on Posey and get Redd instead. He's not going to ask for max contract or anything. He's not like a star either. He's AN EXCELLENT SHARPSHOOTER though.
