OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!! What a shot by the Mooch!!! Overall I am pretty impressed with this win, I saw some really great ball playing tonite. What was that I saw coming from the 4? Could that be hustle finally showing his face?? Hmmm Mo played some really good offense and even went after a few balls tonite.. I really hope he can do this more often than every other game.. Its a real shame Hakeem was having a off nite..he was moving well getting shots, they just weren't falling. The highpoint of the game for me... The stretches of time where the Rox were making good passes and playing their swarming defense were really fun to watch. overall a good win...it shouldn't have been that close tho. They really need to work on not letting teams back into the ballgames. Enjoyed the hell outa this game, hope yall got to see it too. ------------------ Give It To Moochie! President of the Moochie Norris fan-club
RIGHT ON. I've got some positive for ya: Rockets are in 2nd place!!!! What is up with this BBS. Is there really Mo apologist and bashing going on...and Hakeem needs more minutes...geeze!!
Not much positive about this game. They got really lucky. Still, it is nice to be second in the midwest. If the Rockets can somehow beat the Spurs and the Nuggets, I will be amazed, and will join the championship bandwagon. Still, I think they're going to lose both games. ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."
yeah ZRB, and Mobley is stunting the development of Francis, you fantasy head. Get out of this positive thread...geeze!
HP Please explain why you think Mobley is stunting Francis' growth. If that was sarcasm sorry but I didn't get it. ------------------
No way the Nuggets are going to beat us on our home court (ahem, even if McDyess drops 40 on us). I don't know about San Antonio, but I am not going to say we will lose that one. By the way, it is obvious that the quote was sarcasm. ZRB was saying this game was not very positive, and HeyPartner responded by saying this is a positive thread and you have to think positive! ------------------
SSg, Do not try to "get" heyp, it will make you insane. That was a beautiful game. The Rockets showed they are a much better team by going up 15, but then were so sensitive to the bored Warriors fans that they let their lead evaporate (no other way to explain scoring 3 points in the first 6 minutes of the 4th) and end up with a thriller. Then, Mooch and Steve made that guys day by jumping over his head. They are not just Houston's team, they are the world's team - fun for everyone! ------------------ EZLN
SSG, What! It's so obvious. When Mobley takes the shots at the end, he prevents Francis from learning to win. Here, if you don't believe me: Oh man, I love this game.
Excellent game through 3 and a quarter. Even though they came back, it still made for a great game, even if it wasn't suppose to happen. How bout that 7t man of year award? Mooch was tearing it up in the 2nd period...Kenny Thomas got tons of easy slams, Bullard got his 3. They stayed way off the Mooch in the 2nd half trying to force him to shoot. That's the one area he'll need improvement over the course of this year and next. But man is he a steal, the man gets everyone envolved. Steve had 9 assist at half, he was a mad man passing, his shooting was off but he did everything else right. Steals at the end of the game....wow...he had that entry pass all night. Great job by Steve even though shots not falling. Really liked the Kenny and Mo lineup, really seemed to do the job. Kenny was getting those rebounds, hussling, and I think because of Mo's dunking and inside game, he started to do the same. We win, miracle but who cares, how it's spose to be One negative though. The refs once again. They made the game into a physically hard, no call fouling game. When that happens tempers shoot through roof and bad stuff can happen. They were no calling on obvious fouls and calling on silly ones. Can't understand on bad the refs have gotten, now on nightly basis it's really disturbing. And Im spent ------------------
It was nice to see KT and Moe SLAM they seem like they tired of missing lay ups or d*mn near losing an arm in the process without getting a foul called I think KT had 3 Slams and Moe had about 4 f*ck that soft lay up sh*t *SWACK* We had some very nice interior passing. Rocket River ------------------
Heypartner Yes we are in 2nd place but, there are 60 more games to play. I want to get excited but we are still not consistant and therefore unpredictable. Let's hope they can continue to improve for the rest of the year. ------------------
OT says So true.. BUT If we knew for sure they would win every game...what the hell fun would that be?? Yes, they are inconsistent..but they are getting alot less inconsistent with ever passing game. The improvement on defense and their great interior passing is gonna do wonders toward making them hard to beat by anyone. and with the sheer amount of good shooters we have that means that even if Francis or Mo or Walt are cold on any given nite..there are plenty of quality players waiting to come in and pick up the slack. OUR BENCH ROCKS!! Go Rocks!! 2nd Place baby!!! Take that ESPN!!!! ------------------ Give It To Moochie! The truth is that the Rockets have been playing better in the last 4 or 5 games. They still have lapses in their games, but I'm starting to see the kind of coming together & being a team that we saw in the last 20 games of last year. It seems that as each game goes by, they are starting to include everybody in the game more & more. What's really great is that they are starting the run earlier in the year, while we still have a chance to make the playoffs. Is it me or does it seem that, at this point, that Moochie is actually running the point better than Stevie? No insult meant to Stevie, but Moochie seems to include everyone & passes with less hesitation & more precisely. Maybe I'm just imagining it. ------------------
Yes, Moochie is running the Point better then Steve because he can pass TO Steve. DaDakota ------------------ If Mankind evolved from Monkeys and Apes, then why are there still Monkeys and apes?
Whats great is as a point guard Mooch is doing super duper excellent, and the drop off to Steve's point guard play? He's at the super excellent level. 9 assist in first half of many games. They both are doing excellent job. Mooch is starting to be an amasing 7th man for our team, he gets us going now, almost like Mobley use to. Mobley now gets it within flow of game, then in fourth takes off. Our guard play is tremendous and best part is it has so much room for improvement. Exciting to be a Rockets fan for years to come. ------------------
