need a pop up blocker pronto any idea on a good one out there that wont give me and extra 5 pop ups ???
I uses Panicware Pop-Up Stopper Professional and it's pretty good but if it gets really ugly, I'll use Firefox to surf instead of IE. You can try this http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid,8060,00.asp
Try adding the following domains to your router's "blocked sites" list: doubleclick.net servedby.com hitbox.com gator.com claria.com And just keep adding as you find popups you don't like. Stops them cold. You also might try installing Javacool's Spyware Blaster. Downloading the latest updates and enabling all protection will add those 5 sites plus tons more to Internet Explorer's blocked sites list. Spyblaster
On top of using Firefox, Download and install Spybot Search & Destroy, and Lavasoft's Adaware. Use them, and use them frequently.
