If you pick only one logo to use, which one would it be? For those of you who don't know, I am moving to East Kenya in 2014. I will be doing mission work with indigenous people of Coastal Kenya. My wife, daughter, and I will live there for about 10+ years. we will be starting schools, orphanages, and planting indigenous churches. I needed a logo for the work's internet presence. This logo will be used multiple ways and we desire to use it long term so people know who we are when they see our logo. Do you have one you like? bobmarley - I'd voted for #1 BEFORE I read your post carefully, thinking whatever it's for, it would gear towards the younger generation. But now I've read it, I think #3 would be suited better for the type of your work you will be doing for the communities over there. (I'm changing my vote.) I wish you and your family the best of all things.
First of all...respect for doing what you're doing. Second of all...I voted for all but the 2nd one. 2nd one is a little hard to read at first glance.
Do a combination of #1 and #3 with the outline of Kenya squared up with the text. I like my logos contained into a recognizable shape like 3, not with run away text like 1. But I like the country outline more than the generic road and tree because it is more specific.
#1 looks way to disorganized. #3 is the best. #5 is a close runner up. #4 would be good but that tree takes away from the design.
#4 And if you're interested in keeping the flag colors try coloring the ground...you have 3 separate areas to work with. If that, then I would give the tree a neutral gray. Thought: if you remove the tree then the tire tracks become a bit more abstract
Thank you all for your thoughts. I agree about removing the tree makes tracks more abstract. I also like the idea of moving the colors to the tire tracks. Keep em coming. I will be working more on it come Monday. Which one do you think will look best stitched on shirts?
Did you intend to make your poll a multiple choice poll? I went with #1, but #3 was a pretty close 2nd.
I'm still digging #4 for the stitch. (re: my previous post. tree could be one of the colors of the flag...or off-white...in fact I'm liking the off-white idea more and more) Btw, appreciate what you're doing. I've a dear friend who's making the move within the year. His focus are the mothers and children.
