2 for me as well. Hakeem is providing a great leadership role for our young players and as long as he is healthy, he will provide the defense we really need in the low post. Though he may be old, as long as he has his breath, he is still a formidable force in this league.
so far... 1- Retire Now 20% 2- Stay as long as he wants 80% Not Bad! "If Hakeem hurts the Rockets, who cares?!?! The man has brought two, count them two championships to the city of Houston" Exactly what i'm trying to say! Thanx AntiSonic! ------------------ Ostertag for Three!!!!!
Let Hakeem play next year. Then hire him back as a big man coach for the Center and Power Forward positions. Make it so he does not have to travel wirh the team, just coach them during peseason and pratice time in Houston. Let Hakeem teach them how to move and to think basketball. ------------------ One minute ago you had 60 seconds longer to live then you have now. Did you enjoy the 60 seconds you just had? 2! I just hope he doesn't get hurt. My concern is over his physical well-being. I don't want him to go out like Charles did. ------------------ Jazzkiller
2 He doesn't want to stay any longer, but if he did then he's welcome to!! If he stayed he wouldn't be paid the max, so we'd have cap room (he would get the 17 year veterans minimum which is probably like 4 mill a season and doesn't count against the cap) What makes anybody think we can get Webber anyway, sure we may have money, but he wants to go to a contender. Can we show that we are a contender BEFORE next off season? ------------------
2, absolutely. Hakeem can still help the Rockets, as long as he is healthy, and I think it definetely cannot hurt to have a good example out on the court for Cato to obvserve and emulate. ------------------ "Nothing is certain but the unforseen." Some Dude
