Guys please stop posting about #1 pick trades, because Ming will be in pajamas next year. That's Done. So what we should focus our attention is the # 15 pick and so come up with 5 trade scenarios for this.

Rockets Trade: #15 pick, Kenny Thomas, and Terence Morris
    Rockets Get: Shawn Marion

Rockets Trade: #15 pick and Kenny Thomas
Rockets Get: # 8 pick (from LAC)

Rockets Trade: #15 pick, #53 pick, and Kelvin Cato
Rockets Get: #11 pick and Jahidi White

Rockets Trade: #15 pick, Glen Rice, and Kenny Thomas
    Rockets Get: Lamar Odom

Rockets Trade: #15 pick and Kenny Thomas
    Rockets Get: Mike Miller

Which one do you guys like? (Take it easy on me I'm only a teen)

I would not do any of them, maybe the Shawn Marion deal but even that is not that good a deal.

Lookie here rookie.......you don't come in here and get all testy and tell us to stop posting about trading the number one pick.

    Edicate!

Kidding of course. I am tired of ALL the Ming threads. Ming this, Ming that, Mingy Mingy Mingy, Ming-a-ling, Ming-O-Rama, Ming Dynasty, Ming Garden, Ming Fling, Who Flung Poo, and all of that.

Yao gonna make me lose my mind, up in here, up in here.....
Yao gonna make me go all out, up in here, up in here....

    I would do trades 2,3 and 4.

However, I doubt the the oppossing team would want to do those trades. Also, alot of people talk about trading Kenny Thomas in order to move up in the draft. However, I think as Rocket fans, we are overestimating his value. He is somewhat of a tweener and nothing more than a solid role player on a decent team.

The Odom deal would be a homerun IMO

we get our 3 and dump Rice's contract

they end up with 3 top 15 picks which they can possibly do the type of deal we did for Grif last year and add a decent 6th man as well in KT.

i dont know if sterling would go for Rice's contract but being that hes out of it in a year (i think), and he wouldnt have to give Odom the max, maybe it would work.

Does this work salary wise if LA were to consider it? Bueller? Bueller?

Wait...you guys are seriously saying, from a Rockets standpoint, you wouldn't do the first rade for Marion? Marion is, already, everything we hope Griffin can turn out to be. I'd do that trade in a heartbeat but there is no way Phoenix will even think about it.

The middle three are probably the most realistic ones, and I'd be willing to do trades 2 and 4. Trade 2 offers a chance to move up and possibly get that 7 foot Nowitski-esqu guy, or a Wilcox or Gooden if they fall. Trade 4 gets us Odom without giving up to much and dumping salary, although I HIGHLY doubt the Clippers would do it.

All of those are good trades for the Rockets. I'd be happy with any one of those.

Rice and Thomas make as much as 4 Odoms. Proposal 4 is no where near a possibility. Sterling might not take Rice if we tied it to #1.

As mentioned prior, we as Rockets fans tend to overestimate KT's value. But then again, do I recall correctly that Jeff said #15 + KT + Collier would get us #8 (or was it #12) + Odom?

Jeff - did you say that and do you still feel that way?

JayZ...I didnt really comment on the Marion one because it would never happen....Im not saying the Odom one would either, but it seems a liitle more possible than the Marion one

 I doubt that Phoenix would do this even if you exchanged the #15 for the #1 ... as it stands now no chance what so ever ...

The only trade that I think is realistic from the other teams perspective is the last one, and a player they would want would have to be there at 15 for them to even consider it.

I would do it. A true sf that can actually shoot could really help this team.

The rest of the trades are bunk.

Supposedly there was a rumor of Shawn Marion + #9 pick for the Rockets #1.

Darth West, please do not judge all of us on some of the silly deals proposed here.

    btw, how about

Gasol for Moochie + a future top 10 protected 2nd round pick?

You know you want the fro. Maybe we could even throw in Rice. He averaged 28 ppg erhm, not too long ago...

Slam dunk deal, better take it before I change my mind.

I have a very hard time beliving in that rumor ... if Marion is offered grab him and run ...

I dont judge everyone on the basis of these trade rumours ... I like this site and I think its one of the better sports/fan sites on the net ... I have to confess though that i especially like the not too uncommon bashing of Stevie ... ;) ... anyway I assume you got a better offer for Moochie already or I would be all over it ... anyway I am sure we can agree on a beneficial trade for both teams ... dont forget that Bryan Reeves always can unretire ...
