Man, I love that guy! He brings so much to the table. His defense, hustle, open court play. His shot is getting better also.

I heard on 610 that most likely they won't be able to keep him around. Man, he has been one of the bright spots these past few games. I really hope the Rockets find some way to keep him.

At the beginning of tonights game, Posey said he really wants to sign with this team again. He said he feels like they have a great young team and during the offseason they should work on their running game more. I would love to keep him and I hope they do.

What is wrong with glen rice and mo taylor? and cuttino mobley is the third most valuable player on this team.

I donno. Is Posey asking a lot, or is it the fact that we can't spend much? I guess we have to factor in the log jam also.

I don't mind giving Posey the money he deserves as he has shown a great deal of improvement.

The last few games of the season, he was the only Rocket that carried his weight.

However, if he demands big $$$, I would give him a short contract.

The more $$ he wants, the shorter the term. These 6 year guaranteeds have not been the best investements.

Posey is not worried about the money he just wants to win.
Rockets would be making a huge mistake letting Posey go.

I wish we could find a way to sign Posey. He's the only guy who knows how to run the court, consistently hustles, and understands the concept of easy buckets. It's too bad we have so many stupid contracts right now.

He seems to be getting more and more comfortable playing with this team. I also hope we can sign him--reasonably.

Posey is perfect for this team, I can't see why everyone isn't seeing this. Everyone keep calling for a three point shooter, but we don't need a damn shooter. We need hustle, defense and heart, which just happens to be his three biggest strengths. I know hw has offensive limitations, but so what. Instead of shipping out a solid player, try putting in a system where players actually move instead of having them play an glorified game of around the world, he would thrive on it. It's been four years now, still no system still no playoffs. Keep Posey!!!

I think posey pushes the other guys on the court to run and push the ball up, I think with a training camp and a full season he may help us turn into the running team we can be.

Running and fast breaking starts with good rebounding and outlet passing, and it just so happens we have a young man named Yao Ming who is awesome at both of those aspects of the game!

I look forward to up and down the floor offense this next season!

Boki is NOT ready. That much should be crystal clear by now. They are already saying that we should consider Boki our first round pick next year, so that means we should consider him a rookie right? Would you feel confident in having a rookie as your starting 3 when you are trying to make a playoff run.

Where is the bashing and/or negativity you are seeing? I have seen little to nothing in this vein regarding Posey. The question is not one of ability or hustle but one of how much $ he will want (or more precisely - what his market value will be this summer).

Regardless of how highly you evaluate JP, surely you see the difference in Posey for 5 years @ ~$27m versus Posey for 7 years at ~ $52M?

    Htowhhero,

    BINGO!!

I love Rudy and wish him a speedy recovery, but I am truly depressed at the thought of his coming back....and you have articulated why. I'm soooooooooo tired of iso street ball, dribble diarrhea, few assists, megaturnovers and running down/out the shot clock. After 65 games RT coached I really saw nothing else and watched a team that did not grow and appeared lost on offense and too often didn't come to play. As you said, IT'S THE SYSTEM! And Mr. Mean was even worse, esp. with his mindless rotations and substitution patterns.

I know it won't happen but Rox need a strong turnaround coach. Rudy is simply not the right man for the job at hand.

Posey is a nice player to have, and a guy that is a great role player. I would like to see him stay. I say sign evrybody if you can, stand pat unless it is possible to get a true PG of some sort for Mobely and or Norris. If the team stayed the same as far as who suits up I would not be upset. After watching 50 games on League Pass this year I like the guys, but I hate some of the things they do.

This was in the ROCKETS SUMMARY today in the Chonicle.

Notice the BOLD and ITALIC comments. Nice to see Posey not just content with jacking up shots but tyring to penetrate and get to the line. You have to like his agressiveness. I also found it fun that he said he CAME from an offense that had screens, curls and BALL MOVEMEMNT, but here in Houston it is DIFFERENT! :( Here they just want you to stand still and jack shots.
