Farscape d00d. Farscape rulzzzzzzzzzzz. Remember the one where the nerdy kid was all like "CAN I BE EXCUSED... MY BRAIN IS FULL... and his head was all small" LOL
What do you mean by weekly updates? The 10 year TIPS doesn't fluctuate on a daily basis like normal 10-year treasuries and has a fixed interest rate. The only fluctuation that occurs is due to changes in the Consumer Price Index which then can lead to changes in payout over the life of the note. Now, if you want updates on what the predictions for the CPI will be and how it will affect TIPS go here: http://www.publicdebt.treas.gov/of/ofinflin.htm Hopefully that helps you out.
http://www.bloomberg.com/markets/rates/index.html IMO unless you're buying hundreds of millions worth of the 10yr TIPS, you're better off sticking with 6month T-Bills, whose rates will be rising along w/ inflation anyways. Another place to hide is German govt. 1yr bonds.
Thanks pippen and Rockets. I just need some sort of information base for a project. I do a report each week on any developments with the 10 year TIPS.
Based on that link provided by pippendagimp I might have to rethink what I said in my above post (i would edit if it was allowed) I was under the impression that TIPS don't fluctuate, but I guess they do. So, you might want to go ahead and ignore what I had to say earlier
