He thinks not clapping for him in the SOTU is treasonous? Senator Tammy Duckworth with the correct response...
I think the important point we can now make is that trump is thinking about the concept of "treason." Probably has heard the word used among his lawyer team as they discuss the trump defense. Here's the U.S. Constitution's definition of "treason": Gee, I don't know if not applauding the president meets that constitutional standard, but I think there is a guy named trump and his close circle that may want to re-read that...
...you know what? To hell with it...I'm going for it... ...fruit this low...how could anybody resist?...
Of course he walks back his statement... and as usual, claims it was a joke, as if treason was good comedy.
Treason, sexual assault, police violence, Russian hacking, obstruction of justice...you know, just run of the mill stuff you expect a President to "joke" about.
Why did he walk it back? The only GOP member, I believe, who publicly rebuked him was Flake this time. And the "liberal media" (sic).
totally true but won't matter to these ptsd sufferers. trump is an entertainer, plays to the room. he'll say anything to win the room, win the night. not condoning it, just not an idiot trying to fight something that's not there. their response and retaliation is so cringy and dumb.
