It disturbs me because reading the same painfully unfunny attempt at a joke over and over again gives me secondhand embarrassment, and I would rather just read discussion about the baseball playoffs here.
I'm not the only one who finds it amusing. https://clevelandvintage.com/products/gourdians-of-cleveland-coffee-mug
Yes. They spent loads of money to appease a VERY SMALL group of people looking for a made up reason to be offended and these silly names are what they wound up with. They are JOKES of opportunity.
Got it. So if something doesn’t offend you, then the people who are offended are wrong and are just making up reasons to take offense. Duly noted.
Cool? Buy that for yourself and then you can laugh heartily every time you use it and stop attempting to make the joke on this thread.
But it's their money that they chose to spend. I don't get it, did you lose out on money or are you just someone who is also very concerned about where other people spend their money? Like when you standing in the grocery store aisle and see someone buying something that has a coupon but they are not using the coupon, do you immediately become concerned?
BINGO The "offended" aren't really offended. Just looking for a way to be a nuisance and destroy history.
I find it wasteful and absurd. There is humor in absurdity. I make fun of the new names because there was NO REASON to change the old ones. And the new ones are ridiculous.
Back to the playoffs, What changes do you think will be made to the Roster for the ALCS, if any what changes should be made, if any?
You are wasting your time trying to explain the concept of empathy to someone who sincerely believes Hank Aaron was beloved for being a black man breaking Ruth’s record and Roger Maris was booed because he was white doing the same thing.
