Playoff schedule ?

    What day will the playoffs start and does anybody know what the first round NBA schedule will be?

    The playoffs start on Saturday that however does not mean the Rockets do as we could start on Sunday.

    Since I'll be in Dallas this weekend I'd like for us to play on Saturday so I can get rowdy in support of the Rockets at a local watering hole like the Loon ;)

    A friend of mine told me that EC's playoffs will start on Saturday, and WC's on Sunday. Can someone confirm this?

    Should be Thursday as there are still games being played through Wednesday night.

    Probably not. They usually run EC, WC, EC, WC (or vice versa). Most likely is for the EC teams to be Noon games so that they don't start until 1PM local time, then the 2:30 game will be WC, the 5 game EC, and the 7:30 game EC.

    Well, Les was on 610 this morning and he said he thought they would be playing on Sunday, but it was just a guess.

    At least we know who, we just need to find out when.

    I hope it is Sunday since we have a wedding to attend on Saturday. If the Rox play Saturday, I might feel the flu coming on. *cough* :D

    UPDATE:

    This playoff schedule info comes from the Houston Chronicle. I could not find this info online - it is on the printed newspaper, front page of the Sports section (just below the picture of Yao rebounding):

    "The first game will be in Dallas on Saturday or Sunday.
    Games 3 and 4 and, if necessary, Game 6 will be in Houston."

    please don't file this under breaking news -- whoa, the team w/out homecourt gets games 3,4 & 6! at home, unbelievable!!

    i'm just teasin though, everyone is dying for any shred of specificity in regards to the sched @ this point - -

    i don't why the NBA is waiting to release it -- all the western conference matchups are set -- come on, NBA, i need to know when i can make the roadtrip to dallas from little rock - -
