I voted Novak. I really like Novak, but I think we're overloaded at the SF position and I'm unconvinced that he can play power forward. I'd rather see Chuck, Juwan or even Shane play power forward. I would've voted for V-Span, but because of our lack of depth at point guard, I'd be reluctant to leave him off of our roster. And despite Bonzi's issues...I think he's gotta be at least on our bench ready to come in. P.S. I can't believe 4 people voted for Rafer! That's just uncalled for...
The reason I didn't vote Novak is that he has an actual role on the team (albeit a small one). Throughout the season, he's been brought in in late-game situations where a 3-pointer is absolutely necessary (or he's been used as a decoy).
I just heard JVG making a comment about Bonzi not getting into the rotation anytime soon. I'm beginning to think it's a real possibility that he'll be left off the playoff roster, cause I'm sure he doesn't want to be a towel waver ala Novak.
As stated in my first post, if conditions allowed, I would have put TMac, Yao, Hayes and Battier in the poll as well. Everyone is free to make your own choice. If your choice is relatively unique, why not share your thoughts with us? It may instil some quality discussions. The good thing is most of the clutchfans here do share our views honestly therefore the poll result still reflects our MAJORITY selection, which to me, is good enough. The poll will be closed just before Apr 19 (if I did my math correctly ), so come on folks, let us know your choice! - And thanks to the crew who removed the duplicate word from my thread title.
I agree. There is a plausible situation, say Battier or Tmac fouled out, need a late 3 to tie, where he could actually be out there. It is hard to think JL3 can get out there under any remote scenario (maybe if Head & Alston both foulde out/got injured), and in VSpan case it would take JL3 not being there (JL3 is a little more experienced in the NBA/little more trustworthy in doing what he is supposed to). This year is a training year for VS. Under no circumstances can I see him hitting the floor in the playoffs. Just got to hope we see something from him next year.
